We had the good fortune of connecting with Tracey Jazmin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tracey, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Hands down, my mindset has been the most important factor in reaching the success for myself and my brand. It’s been a crucial foundation to all the highs and lows that I’ve experienced an entrepreneur over the past 9 years. Without a strong mindset that I continue to work on every day, I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be where I am today.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business has grown so much over the last nine years. Initially, I began my career as a family photographer. From there, I shifted into the wedding industry and focused all my work on couples and their weddings. After 3 years, I shifted my focus again to work with other creative women entrepreneurs as a branding photographer. In the last 2 years, I’ve grown my business again to becoming a certified Neurolinguistic Programming Practitioner and Business Mindset Coach along with Brand Photographer.
I’m most proud of myself for evolving as much and as often as I have, listening to my intuition and those nudges the entire time. At this point in my career, I’m most excited to help other creative women entrepreneurs grow their businesses and find their version of success.
I wouldn’t say it was easy, but I also wouldn’t say it was hard. I don’t believe in the word hard. What I see it as is a consistent back and forth from my comfort zone to that growth zone over and over again. Being in the unknown before you reach that goal can feel uncomfortable, yes, and working through it only becomes easier and easier. Especially, not that I’m an NLP Practitioner, working on my mindset is the secret to getting through those challenges.
The biggest lessons I’ve learned along the way are to find your community, hire mentors / coaches and remember how valuable your time is.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my bestie was visiting, we would for sure hit up all of the vibey and aesthetically pleasing coffee shops, brunch spots and funky dining experiences. We have a massive love for experiences and ambiance, so that would be our focus. We’d for sure bop around to all of the instagrammable spots, grab some new branding photos for her and capitalize on our time together.
Somewhere in there, we’d find time to people watch, enjoy nature (potentially both at the same time) and spend quality time making memories.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Heck yes, the Rising Tide Society is who I credit a lot of my growth and success to. They created a community of smaller communities. Getting to lead one of those communities not only helped me, but it allowed me to create a community in turn helping other creative entrepreneurs.
All of my mentors of which there are so many! They believed in me before I believed in me, and were always there to ask me the hard questions. Many questions which were pivotal moments in my career.
