We had the good fortune of connecting with Travis Marsh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Travis, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think that everything in life has some level of risk. I quit college to do music, that was a risk. I left California and moved out of state to TN to play in a band not knowing anyone, that was risk. I put out music to the public knowing I’ll be judged, that was a risk, but the greatest risk I was not willing to take was living my life with regret for not going full force into something I really loved.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
One thing I’m proud of is I produced a song called Concrete by Teyana Taylor on her album that went number one on billboard.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For vibes, I love to go to the Hollywood bowl and get a picnic and watch some great music. They have such a great variety of music coming through there. For amazing sound it’s hard to beat the Disney concert hall.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom for always believing in me.
