We had the good fortune of connecting with Travis Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Travis, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
It’s what I do best. I have always considered myself an artist, having made art all my life. So, it was a natural choice to dedicate my life to the creation of art. It’s how I communicate with the world, and as an artist I feel as if those lines of communication have to be maintained. Without art I’m not sure how I would express myself.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I mainly work in Sharpie ( permanent markers) but also in other mediums. I’m probably the proudest of the Lemmy Kilmister Memorial Bronze created for the Rainbow Bar & Grill in LA and the graphics I created for the new Anchor Range of Beers from Camerons Brewery in the UK. Both projects challenged me immensely and the permanence of the results are exciting. I genuinely want to leave behind artwork for future generations to be inspired by, and both of these projects do just that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, LA is definitely a city with lots to do and see. Definitely would have folks check out Melrose for some awesome fashion, then maybe out to the beach, there’s so many cool things in Santa Monica and Venice. They should visit some of the best restaurants like Dan Tana’s and Canter’s Deli, and then see some live music at The Whisky or the Troubadour and then definitely go party at the Rainbow Bar & Grill. And while your there check out Lemmy’s Lounge, and have some pizza and a couple beers.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without the support of my Mother, Laura I wouldn’t be the artist I am today or for that matter the man I am today. Her love and support has fueled my desire to create; all my life.
