We had the good fortune of connecting with Trisanne Marin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Trisanne, what is the most important factor behind your success?

I put a strong emphasis on leadership as well as effective communication. I think it is really important to tell someone what they need to hear and not necessarily what they want to hear. In order for a client to be able to trust your input, it is imparative to learn about them on a personal level and understand what specific form of communication works well for them.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a talent manager who works mainly with youth and young adults. I am excited when my clients have very few credits and book a series regular in a short span of time. Like any career in the entertainment industry, it has taken time and continued dedication to achieve a high level of success. I have certainly learned some important lessons along the way. For example, years into my career, I have a much easier time spotting the right talent and the type of actor who will work well with me and whom I can represent to the best of my capability. I have found one of the most important aspects of working with my clients is making sure I put an emphasis on their mindset. It is one of the most important differences between a working actor and one who is not. Encouraging their personal development is one of the key components to my business and developing a successful actor. As a manager, I love looking toward my client’s future and seeing the “big picture” for their career.
