We had the good fortune of connecting with Tyaun Drake and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tyaun, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk Taking , when people think about taking risk there hearts starts beating fast palms get all sweaty and they tend to talk themselves out of doing something that can actually change there life’s. When I first started Pink Almond it was with a partner we later decided to part ways and there I was never ran a business knowing nothing about what it takes or products but I knew I wanted to do something ,to have something of my own .So I took that risk dove head first into research and finding vendors finding ways to market my brand finding pop up shops to attended meeting with other small business owners and I found my groove

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My Name is Tyaun but everyone knows me as Ty , I am the owner of Pink Almond a fashion accessories brand ,We have been open 3 year now (wow) .It has been a long road running this small business walk working a 9-5 and also attending school .Balancing a full schedule keeps you up late and will have you up early morning and going to sleep late nights .My biggest obstacles l sometimes is finding the motivation to do it all ,what helps me overcome my obstacle is knowing how far I have come and that lets me know I have came to far to give up .What I also learned and what I like to share with those starting out is its ok to not feel motivated to push your craft everyday its ok to be lost and not know what to put out or to feel discouraged about your sales but the mort important thing is to never stop posting , promoting and working on content lay the foundation for your business everyday brick by brick

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
