We had the good fortune of connecting with Valerie Aguinaga and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Valerie, what do you want people to remember about you?
I think the deciding factor through my life choices and career was leaving a legacy. I want my legacy to be that “You can and will be anything you want in life.” I want people to remember me for being the woman who took chances. The one who didn’t always know what the outcome of my choices would be but my faith was stronger. A lot of times people are fearful in life and are scared to bet on themselves. I always bet on Valerie and knew with passion and determination I could and would be anything I wanted.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always been a creative being, it was my outlet as a young girl to express myself through creating. I started writing at the age of 6, anything from short stories to poetry. Then as I got older I was interested graphic design and photo editing on photoshop. As I got more into that career I registered for my associates in Graphic Design. One class always stuck to me, branding our own product which I came up with Luxvee Shampoo and Conditioner. I executed the assignment and it was left in back of my head wanting to create my own line of products. From there time passed and life went on it’s direction. I was working as a wardrobe stylist for a well known Italian brand. As I was having a great work life I truly left incomplete knowing in the back of my mind I wanted to build my own company. 2018 is when I created the name Pampúree, with the idea of creating a spiritual but luxurious brand for individuals. But though the name was created I didn’t execute the concept. Then when 2020 came and the pandemic started, I was very unsure of work life as we were all told be be at a still in Quarantine. I was watching a YouTube video of this amazing spiritual healer and I remember exactly what she said. She spoke such profound words for other healers stating “if you are a spiritual being or creator use your hands to create and send as much love as you can to others.” Thats when I got to work and created my first product in our line, floral white sage smudge sticks called Pura Vida. They were sold out three times being sent all over the US and Europe. I’ve had a journey myself, there were moments I wasn’t fully sure of what would happen or whether my brand would be successful. But I think that’s the beauty of my brand and story that others can take from it, sometimes we don’t really know what will happen but it’s having faith in ourselves and the vision that makes it all worth it. Thats what Pampúree is about, it’s about giving yourself the love you deserve and showing the world you can conquer anything you want.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I had a special friend of mine visiting for the week I would take them to all the places that recharge my soul and creativity. One of my first places I went shopping in LA was Robertson Blvd, so checking out the shops being the inner fashionista is a must. Then I’d take them down to Venice Beach to take a nice walk all the way down to Santa Monica. I absolutely love go to Pacific Park and go on all the rides. My favorite is the ferris wheel because when you go to the top you get the best view of all of Santa Monica beach. After we can lay out in the beach, get from sunshine, and vibe out. We can also go for a hike in Runyon Canyon Park, I’m always looking for fun ways to get a good work out in. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d love to Shout out my team! My mother Lydia, my sister Laura, my boyfriend Joseph, and my amazing friend Aura. They are my dream team, the ones night and day rooting me and my accomplishments on. My mind and creativity works 24-7 so when I need anyone of them to finalize a thought or idea in my mind THEY ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE. My mother is also a member of our Pampúree family, helping resource materials and help with orders and sending packages. Joseph and his company GOLDENSEASPRODUCTION is in charge of all the collection photos and promotional photoshoots. Laura helps work with me on product descriptions, logo looks, and product testing. Then Aura, the one who believed in me a month after I launched my idea. The first to have an official interview with myself about Pampúree. She’s my mastermind partner and we’ve grown so much together. I’m blessed to have not one but four people who I must shout out so they are recognized for their amazingness.
