We had the good fortune of connecting with Valerie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Valerie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success I would have to say is staying passionate and genuine. If you are truly passionate about something, enjoy the journey along the way and stay true to yourself, people who resonate with you and will find you and support you.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a gaming and tech content creator that creates cozy feel good content. I wanted to create a space that made people feel comfortable and cozy and almost escape the difficulties and struggles of daily life.

I have been a content creator for more than 5 years and I’ve definitely had my struggles with it. From fighting social media algorithms, adapting to trends, and starting from scratch… I’ve learned so much on my journey and am so grateful for the opportunities I’ve been presented and the people I’ve met.

I just want people to know that if you want something bad enough, work hard and it will happen. If I can do it, then anyone can do it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My immediate choice is Disneyland. I absolutely LOVE Disneyland, if you don’t find me at my cozy desk setup. Then you’ll find me eating a churro in line for Pirates of the Caribbean. My favorite rides are Rise of the Resistance, Space Mountain and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout! Some of my favorite foods there are the Reactor Melt, Black Caf Cold Brew and the Clam Chowder Bread bowl.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband Austin. He is my biggest supporter and encouraged me from the very beginning. With any endeavor that I decided to pursue, he would support me endlessly.
