We had the good fortune of connecting with Vanessa McCaffrey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Vanessa, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I come from a long line of dreamers, innovators, and idea makers, so creativity has always been part of my DNA. But a big part of my drive also comes from being a mom. Having my own business gives me the flexibility to be present for my children while pursuing my passions, allowing me to build something meaningful without missing the moments that matter most.

What should our readers know about your business?
As we’ve continued to focus on serving clients at the upper end of the real estate market, this year has brought some incredible opportunities and exciting projects. We’ve been leaning heavily into luxury listings, custom builds, and high-end design, helping our clients bring their vision to life while navigating every step of the process.

From showcasing exceptional properties to working alongside builders, designers, and homeowners, we’ve developed a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and creativity that define luxury real estate. It’s been an exciting chapter of growth, and we’re grateful to continue helping our clients create spaces that truly reflect their lifestyle and dreams.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
☕ Goodboybob Coffee Roasters – Manhattan Beach
If you’re a matcha lover, this is my go-to spot in the South Bay. Goodboybob serves what I consider the best matcha in town, along with incredible coffee in a relaxed and stylish beachside atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to start your morning or meet up with friends.

🍝 Gaetano’s Restaurant – Torrance
A true South Bay staple, Gaetano’s has been a local favorite for decades. The Giuliano family has built a reputation for serving amazing Italian food and creating a warm, welcoming experience. Whether you’re stopping in for lunch or enjoying a family dinner, it’s one of those classic neighborhood restaurants that never disappoints.

🍕 Lamp Post Pizza – South Bay
Hands down one of the best family-friendly pizza spots around. Not only is the pizza fantastic, but kids absolutely love the arcade games and fun atmosphere. It’s a great place to enjoy a casual meal, celebrate with family, or spend a fun evening with friends while keeping the little ones entertained.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A special shout-out to my mom, Valerie McCaffrey, who was the first example of what it means to be a strong, independent woman chasing her dreams. She taught me to embrace my creativity, believe in myself, and never be afraid to pursue new ideas.

To my husband, Joy Sanchez, thank you for being my partner in every sense of the word. Since the day we met, we’ve been dreaming big together, building a shared vision, and supporting one another through every step of our journey—both in business and in life.
