We had the good fortune of connecting with Victoria Saretzky and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victoria, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
The way that I approached my life completely changed when I learned about my Human Design at the end of 2019. For those that are completely new to Human Design, you are in for a treat! Created by Ra Uru Hu in the 19080’s, this system is an amalgamation of Western Astrology, the Chinese I Ching, the chakras, the Kabbalah, and quantum science. The story behind it is a little ‘woo,’ but getting my Human Design chart read was like receiving a blueprint to my soul. I finally felt like I was in the drivers seat with a map that made so much more sense. I immediately understood why certain things would work for others I knew, but when I went to try it, didn’t work at all! It was because I had my own unique way of going about my path and finding what success meant to me.
For those of you who know a little about Human Design, I am a Projector; someone who guides others, sees the bird’s eye perspective, and has a limited amount of energy (usually 2-3 hours of hard work per day, so we have to be EFFICIENT!). Learning this finally allowed me to take an exhale. It was like a light switch turned on inside and I finally realized, ah yes….rest IS productive. I was feeling that entrepreneurial fire, that I had to keep up, do all the things, hustle. When I took items and appointments OFF of my to-do list and busy schedule that weren’t totally necessary, I saw how MORE came to be when I was doing LESS. Fancy that! Deep down I feel like I knew this, that I had heard this in various forms, but for whatever reason, it was the Human Design reading and getting that global understanding of who I was on an energetic level that allowed me to see how all of my puzzle pieces actually fit together.
So now that I have been given this incredible information, I know that 2-3 hours of hard work per day (even including exercise!) is the most beneficial way for me to have that work/life balance. I do my very best to implement this each day and it has been a total game changer.
My work now includes working privately with Holistic Health Coaching clients, giving Human Design readings, and teaching daily for my women’s empowerment group, RISE. I love being able to use my ability to work intuitively with others and be that guide of information like the Projector that I am. In my RISE program I share all of my tools that helped me to conquer chronic anxiety and find alignment with my Human Design, all while HONORING my design and keeping my work to less than 3 hours a day. Each weekday morning, we gather (virtually) for a daily 30-minute ritual of embodied movement practices like kundalini yoga & meditation, intuitive movement, pranayama, and gentle stretching. We also have a weekly activities including a group holistic health coaching Q & A session and a workshop to deep dive into our Human Design charts.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Everyone’s journey is different, and I think it’s so important to focus on your vision of what it is you want to build. Get really honest with yourself and think about what comes easily to you, what you feel lights you up effortlessly and doesn’t feel like work. For me, from a teenager I always loved guiding others, being there for friends to lean on, and helping in any way I could. I definitely went through multiple periods of burnout, but now after understanding what it means to be a Projector in Human Design, I’ve been able to approach my life with so much more ease and alignment. It’s been a gradual build, with lots of learning in-between, but it’s been such an exciting ride. Keep your eye on your vision of what you truly want and I believe the tools and resources will present themselves to you. With every challenge, look at it as a mirror, reflecting back at you an opportunity for growth and depth of knowledge and experience.
I am most excited about my 6-week women’s empowerment program, RISE! The next cycle begins April 5th, 2021 and will run through May 14th. I wanted these tools of Human Design, holistic & seasonal health, morning rituals, kundalini yoga, meditation, and beyond to be truly accessible to those are seeking to become their own coach and healer. I find that so much of the wellness world is really pricey and so I wanted to offer something affordable yet equally as powerful. I also offer full scholarships. Each weekday morning we gather virtually for a 30-minute ritual of embodied movement practices and meditation so that we can walk out into the world with a radiant and magnetic energy. Then we take that energy and direct it efficiently by aligning with our Human Design charts. It’s been so unbelievably satisfying to watch these women go after their dreams with such empowerment. We love sharing our victories with one another and having this positive container to cheer each other on.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A dream day for me in LA would be to grab a refreshing drink and breakfast/snack at Sightglass here in West Hollywood and go for a sunny hike at Runyon Canyon. For lunch, a delicious plant-based meal at Cafe Gratitude in Venice and then a walk along Main Street in Santa Monica for some window shopping. From there I’d go for a walk along the beach and take in that salty seaside air. Sawtelle is so fun for a mouthwatering dinner of sushi, ramen, or any other Japanese cuisine you could ask for. I love going for long walks throughout the backstreets of West Hollywood with tea in the evenings to wind down. Being an east coaster, I truly cannot get enough of the palm trees and warm breezes (especially in February!).
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My partner, Nick Saretzky, has been my rock and number one supporter in all that I do. No matter how many different certifications I wanted to do, how many times I seemingly changed direction, he always supported me in following my interests. I now see how all of these various healing modalities and studies have come together to allow me to run my women’s group with confidence and greater breadth of knowledge. I am so grateful to have such a loving, encouraging, and positive partner.
