We had the good fortune of connecting with Aman Singh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aman, why did you pursue a creative career?
I thinks when it comes to career, everyone wants to make money. If i talk about my hometown “INDIA” Every Parent and individual wants to be an Engineer or a Doctor. Why ? Because everybody is doing that. Is it satisfying ? Yes they make decent amount of money and doing what everyone is doing. Let’s talk about creative fields. if i talk about myself for me its satisfaction over money. I have Pursued Bachelors in Film Making. A very rare and unique decision for people around me. I make ok money by shooting independent films but I’m happy because I’m around creative people. Every day I’m on a new Film set where i meet new people. I was pretty sure i wanted a free life with zero restriction and fresh environment to work. I can’t be in a cooperative job. So choosing a creative field was a very tough decision to make but today where i stand I’m proud of myself.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Im a Free lancer Cinematographer I have been in india after covid hit in 2020, Since then i have been shooting short films and music videos. One of our film which was produced by “Asha Azad Films” called “Dad David and Danny” have won serval awards and i have been awarded “Best Cinematographer” for couple of films i have recently shot. Nothing is easy in life. You work hard everyday to make a difference. I have learned to sacrifices and work harder. I want to build myself as a independent cinematographer. And i want people to work with me and talk about my work and my behaviour on set.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friends are always around me, but if i take them around in indore my home town i would take them to places not everyone knows about in indore (Secrete places). There are many places around indore like lakes, mountains and waterfalls. These are the most interesting and beautiful places around indore to explore.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I won’t call my self a successful person yet ! I think success has no boundaries its endless. you work until you die is success for me. Everyday is a new day for creative person. How i can make my work better each day is success for me. Today being a Cinematographer i have worked with very successful and recognised people of Bollywood. I learn from them i get inspired from them. For some people I’m a successful person but a piece of advice i share with them is keep working hard and try to be better and better. Im not satisfied with my work if i get satisfied i won’t be working harder and my work will start looking same. But to make a difference in industry i have to be different with my work. Im thank full to DOP “Ravi Varman ” Sir to give me opportunity to work with him under big productions of india. I have worked with him closely and found myself to a right place. Everyday i have gained knowledge about lighting, framing and colours. And I’m sure I’ll be assisting to people who are better than me to learn and improve myself, so i feel that what success looks like. Apart from this for me family stands all over the top. Their support makes me strong. My father is the biggest inspiration for me. He made me stand on my legs and take responsibility to work harder.
