Meet Victory Jones | Singer, Songwriter, Sound Alchemist & Creative Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Victory Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victory, how do you think about risk?
Deciding to embody my design as an artist and move in the world as a musician has undoubtedly been one of the riskiest adventures of my life (to most). But it’s is also the most rewarding, because I am fully alive & aligned when I allow myself to create from this space of deep truth, vulnerability, transparency & embodiment – as a keeper and amplifier of sound sharing my energy & life as a storyteller.
I am a true creative being and my career path has not be typical at all. I’ve had many iterations across various industries. I’ve experimented, explored and accomplished many things – but the one constant and most true has always been music. For me, sound is everything, and my voice is a vehicle that ignites, inspires, connects and activates others. Musicians are at the apex of the creative pyramid – imagine a world without music??? However, life as a musician – and artist – can seem very “risky”. Especially with so much access and expectation for art to be free flowing and artists not being seen, held, seen and supported in ways that literally feed our souls to create the very art that people love!
As the definition implies culturally, it is absolutely risky to continually show up in transparency and vulnerability over and over again as an artist. It’s one of the most intimate things to do – to open yourself up and share the truth of who you are, taking the “risk” that it will be well received, resonant and also a vehicle for the artist to have a secure, fulfilling and expansive life(style). It can be very daunting, and takes a special typeof courage & devotion. Dare I even say and obsession. But I’ve made it a practice to lean in and TRUST it all… especially when it seems risky.
I believe that everything we want is on the other side of fear… and my musical journey has shown this to me time and time again.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a sound alchemist: I ingnite, inspire & activate others through the magic and science of music & sound. Specifically music & sound healing meditations – with crystal bowls, vocals, mantras and invocations.
I use my keen story telling abilities and voice as an instruments to take people on sonic journeys that are trulyu transcendent. My body is a conduit for my voice which is a powerful conduit for change, and what sets me apart is my energy.
I am truly a one of one. I move (intuitively) thru the world fully embodied as the person I came here to be… on a high vibrational love frequency, unafraid to go tell the truth in beautifully resonant ways. I recognize that this practice is an invaluable part of the human experience.
I am most excited about my debut album ANTENNA released earlier this summer. It’s amazing to share my creation with the world. Especially after all that I’ve been thru along the way… including sittingI with this album for six years prio to releasing it! It’s been quite a journey. However I am truly grateful to be able to share my gifts in this way, and realize now that everything happens in perfect divine timing… and that I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more beautifully resonant way for it to have unfolded.
When I created the album I was in the beginning stages of co-founding an amazing business & building community. As an artist and co-founder of a start-up (also working a day job, full time), it took a tremendous amount of focus, energy, effort to manage & amplify all the thigns I was creating. I was streatching myself beyond the confines of my comfort zone. Yet I was able to create this beautifully transcendent work of art. Which I didn’t realize (at that time), was actually a prophetic channeled stream of consciousness, that would essentially serve as my roadmap for the next six years!
There was so much frustration and angst during this time for me, as an artist & entrepreneur navigating everything. I learned a LOT, and I am grateful because it allowed me to learn deep & expansive lessons that I needed for my soul’s progression and the evolution of my artistry.
I was undergoing so much deep change, for what seemed like a long time… which I now know to be a healing journey of deep remebrance; one that led me to Los Angeles, Through all of the transitions, I learned to surrender to the outcomes I was so desperately clinging to in my life before. Which has been my biggest lesson. And I had to learn to trust the unkown and get confortable being there, creating from there, adventuring there, and fall in love with the beauty & wonder of it all… and also to trust th timing of my life. I was learning how to live life dirrently than I had ever before, yet I felt most like myself, becuase I was returning to what my soul needed: MUSIC.
I am HAPPY, and so grateful for the way the path was laid out for me. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Of course there were many challenges along the way which caused deep frustration & anxiety. And of course, navigating all of this wasn’t easy, but it was well worth it, and necessary, as part of the fabric of my life and evolutionary journey back home to myself, through music.
There are so many pratices, places, experiences & people that have influenced my process and supported my journey. Two of the most powerful being yoga & meditation. These powerful practices have helped me become more connected to my intutitive powers and have quite frankly made me a better human & artist. They have been a conduit for me to learn how to surrender and flow with life rather than resist it. They’ve’ helped me cultivate deep presence, radical honesty & accountability and even deeper love. They open me up and root me into the truth of who I am, which amplifies my abilities as a creator.
What I want people to remember is that, my music is a message. Music is the conduit that allows me to take people on sonic journeys of rememberance. It’s a powerful reminder of the beauty & power that we each hold.
Even the album, ANTENNA has a thruline and story arch that speaks to this and can be used as a mantra:
Surrender into deeper self awareness…
Let go of ego and into attunement
to recognize you inner child
as your highest self…
Open to radical accountability
to allow yourself to align
for your greatest good.
Forgive and accept yourself
into the medicine of self love;
for your soul’s reconciliation
and return home,
to your true nature.
What I know to be true, is that our true nature is LOVE. REAL, TRUE, AUTHENTIC LOVE. Which is not always easy or what people may expect when they think of LOVE. I know true love to be deep, radical, all encompassing, infinite and boundless. It is a state of being, and the most powerful energy there is.
I live & create from a place of pure love… love for self, others, Source, the planet and of course SOUND and the beautiful ways it influences us. I will forever be in love with life and with music. Our gifts are meant to be shared, and I am so elated that I get to experience the world as a singer, songwriter and soud alchemist, It’s powerful, beautiful and affirming. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Oh this is such a good one! 🙂
I’ve only been in LA a little over a year and half, but I’ve already been to so many magical and amazing places and discovered so many things. Namely in the realms of music, wellness & food. It’s so hard to choose. But here goes…
One morning, we’d grab coffee at Alana’s in Venice, and head to Erewhon for some snacks and juices before taking a ride up the PCH and cruising up to the Santa Monica Mountains, with an amazingly curated playlists as the soundtrack to our adventure. On the way down, we would stop for a hike, most likely in Malibu on one of the many beautiful trails that overlook the scenic ocean.
At some point during the week, we’d definitely have to go to the Pasadena Botanical Gardens! It’s so beautiful, expansive, peaceful and lush there. (I like to meditate in the bonsai garden).
We’d have to go to Killer Yacht Club speakeasy on a Friday night to see the amazing House of Vibe all star band play.
One afternoon we’d have a beautiful bike ride on Venice Beach, and take a stroll on the Santa Monica Pier. And have dinner at Elephante, to experience the beautiful people and food – it’s so yum!
We’d have to carve out time to experience the incredible Inn of the Seventh Ray restaurant in Topanga called – with a winding multi-level outdoor dining terrace, nestled in the heart of a forest, near a creek. it’s truly a magical experience!
Have a fun shopping day excursion and get some Vintage threads at Jetrag, or some of the other awesome vintage stores off Melrose.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t go grab a few handrolls at Yunomi sushi in the Arts District DTLA at some point – because they have the BEST handrolls (EVER)!
Also dinner in Koreatown at some point at one of the many amazing Korean bbq places! Oh and we’d need to have incredible ramen at Slurpin’ Ramen – or Rakkan Ramen in Little Tokyo.
Part-take in an immersive sound/visual somatic experience at Widsome LA. It’s such an amazing place for sound meditations and psychedelic journeys (with visuals)
Catch a super cool music concert by the awesome Flight of Voices, in which ever LA location they decide to take over! It’s always a fun reveal and rockin’ good time with them.
We’d need to grab some cocktails and dance the night away at Members at some point, and enjoy the feeling like we’ve been transported to a Morrocan riad! Complete with open atrium smack dab in the middle that will take your breath away as you look up at the stars!
We’d definitely head to Little Ethiopia for an authentic and delicious dinner, before we catch a concert at the Shrine! I saw SG Lewis and Kaytranada there and both shows were EPIC!
A beautiful sunrise meditation would have to happen… at an overlook point, like Mulholland, then breakfast somewhere cute in Beverly Hills before we head to Griffith Park Observatory to see the Hollywood sign.
Hang with for an evening of good vibes & dance music adventures, like going to see the Andre Power & Soulection play.
A super fun girls’ date/wellness day at DenMother Spa in Venice would need to be on the list too. Followed by a jaunt up and down Abbott Kinney, with lunch at The Butcher’s Daughter followed by some delectable ice cream at Salt & Straw.
And we’d probably cap the trip off with a boat day trip & lunch with friends at the Marina.
