Hi Wendy, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind the success of the brand is integrity. Our brand promise is that each piece of PURPOSE jewelry is handmade by survivors of human trafficking and the proceeds go to help them rebuild their lives.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Our company is unique because we’re a social enterprise. Every single purchase empowers women escaping human trafficking. As a non-profit organization, International Sanctuary guarantees the proceeds go to support and bring hope, dignity, and true freedom to the resilient women around the world that we employ.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love my hometown of San Juan Capistrano. Whether you’re with girlfriends, have young kids, or on a date there IS always fun to be had. There’s so much to do walking around downtown from grabbing a coffee at the local shop on Los Rios District to having lunch at one of the unique restaurants. The San Juan Mission is always fascinating to visit no matter the season. During the summers we have the local trolley that will take you around town and even connects to the beach cities. It’s fun to get an ice cream and ride the open air trolley.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
At International Sanctuary, we have a lot of supporters. The committed supporters, financial partners, volunteers, staff, and board members have brought the organization to where it is today.
