We had the good fortune of connecting with Yackisha Allen and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yackisha, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I saw this as an opportunity to transform my life in a meaningful and positive direction. Through the creation of my businesses, I have been able to support not only my children and friends but also those in need, fulfilling my deep desire to give back to the community—especially to its children. It has always been important to me to showcase the resilience and determination of a young girl from South Central LA who overcame the obstacles placed before her and carved a path toward success

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a serial entrepreneur, my new business adventure, what’s near and dear to my heart is my clothing line Beautifully Resilient, my story is one of strength, perseverance, and hope.

We believe that regardless of the challenges life throws your way, you have the power to rise above and thrive. Our mission is to inspire others like me — to remind you that there is hope, and you can achieve anything you set your mind to, no matter what you’re going through.
When you wear Beautifully Resilient, you’re making a statement: that you are strong, you are capable, and your story is worth telling. Together, we celebrate the beauty in resilience, and we empower each other to keep pushing forward.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, we will certainly have to go to a Laker game downtown Los Angeles at the crypto. From there, we will head over to Mastro’s Steakhouse. To have food and drinks. Then we will head to hang out third base bar in West Hollywood area. The next day we will head to breakfast at the flavor table in the city of Los Angeles on Florence Avenue for a nice Soulfood breakfast, from there, we will head over to the Crenshaw District to meet up with friends at The district by GS, they have great R&B rap and oldies. Great place to have lunch as well. We will also try to catch a dodger game if they are playing. after the game the moxie downtown Los Angeles have a few restaurants and clubs. A great place for entertainment. Next day catch a concert at the Sofi stadium. After have a little fun at the Hollywood Park Casino.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The saying, ‘It takes a village to raise a child,’ perfectly reflects my journey. I give all honor to my Lord and Savior for His protection and for keeping me grounded. There are a few remarkable women in my life who have profoundly shaped the person I am today—often without even realizing their impact. Delisa Brown, Yolanda Turner, Angie Debose, Christine Collins, and Angel Brown—your guidance, support, and unwavering presence have meant the world to me. I am deeply honored and forever grateful for everything you have done in my life. Your support system has been invaluable, and I sincerely thank you.
