We had the good fortune of connecting with Newton Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Newton, how does your business help the community?
Years before COVID-19, we have started working towards a comprehensive and an affordable healthcare for the community at large. While medical researchers are currently toiling on COVID-19 cures and vaccines, we have been supporting research on human immune system rejuvenation to fight all diseases including cancer, antibiotics-resistant superbugs, and coronavirus: https://www.linkedin.com/
What should our readers know about your business?
Established in 2004, the Institute for Education, Research, and Scholarships (IFERS) is an award-winning California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity organization dedicated to improving society by conducting scientific and social research. We believe in changing the world for the better through education, research, and scholarships. Our ultimate goal is to create a better world with lasting peace, prosperity, and universal rights for all. It is certainly a tall order, but we are up for the challenge with our cross-disciplinary methodology such as a software engineering approach to combating diseases and COVID-19: https://www.linkedin.com/
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Many out-of-town friends have visited me over the years. I took them to my favorite spots, some of which are the usual suspects like Disneyland, Universal City Hollywood, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Santa Monica Pier, and the Getty Center. I also enjoyed taking my friends to Chinatown for dim sum and a comedy club for a good laugh.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give many thanks and my love to my dedicated team, project directors, volunteers, and coauthors sharing my passion in education, research, and scholarships. With contributions from more than 70 scientists and scholars, the 863-page Transhumanism Handbook reached the #1 new release in preventive medicine on Amazon.com for 4 months in 2019: https://www.ifers.org/the-
