Describing my ideal client and creating a velvet rope. I have a specific set of skills and not everyone is a good fit for them. I had to realize that it was better for my business, and my happiness, to only allow clients that fit my description of an ideal client past the velvet rope. This took time and there were times I had to send a few break up emails.
