We had the good fortune of connecting with Rashee Gupta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rashee, let’s start by having you share some wisdom with us. What advice would you give to a friend facing insurmountable odds?
The reality of life is that it will never be all sad or all happy. This is why and what we call life. There are happy moments and sad moments. Some last longer than others. The important thing is to be willing to adapt to life and what goes on. When sad moments come, grieve, cry, be sad, be patient, but do not stay there. Grow and heal from those times. Use those times as fuel for the next phase, project, moments, etc. in life. Everyone has peak times and/or a point where there time comes. Do not feel you are behind or cannot achieve anything. You just need to keep at it and fill yourself and time with as much knowledge as you can.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
MrsGuptaSquared is my blog and Instagram on which I post new blog posts about fashion, food, beauty, and travel. Aside from MrsGuptaSquared I also am the CEO and founder of MGS Accessories, my own line of cruelty-free and vegan makeup and skincare. We are known for being vegan and cruelty free yet have the most glamorous products and packaging. People love our quick turnaround and shipping time as well as the variety of vegan and cruelty-free products they can find at MGS Accessories. It definitely has not been a smooth road but it has been an amazing journey and I am thankful for every bit of it. Lots of sleepless, late nights, and trial and error but we finally are on track, I believe. A point that I am so incredibly happy to be at. The road ahead is still long and steep but just getting to where we are now has been a lot of hustle, and a lot of sacrifices. Since starting our business we have had major roadblocks but you have to just step back at times, reassess everything, and almost give yourself a pep talk and remind yourself why you are doing what you are doing and why it is important.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend actually did make a trip out to San Francisco in the fall time and the moment she got here, I took to her straight to the city to eat a burrito in the Mission District and then into the Financial District to ride a cable car and see the hearts in Union City. We stopped at Fisherman’s Wharf and saw the sea lions. Then made a trip to the Golden Gate Bridge and Bakers Beach. Next up was the Palace of Fine Arts and the Japanese Tea Garden. We did a day trip to Napa and Carmel as well. Stopping at local wineries and bakeries. Other must see places are the beaches and flower fields in Half Moon Bay and the cute cafes in San Jose. You also can’t miss Lands End plus the Sutro Baths.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is dedicated to my husband. Through it all, the good, the bad, the pretty, and the ugly he has been there. He has always been that voice of reason and wisdom.
