We had the good fortune of connecting with Renee Ritchie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Renee, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I believe taking a risk but a smart educated risk is the NO. 1 to all business and big career choices. I have taken multiple finical risks, lifestyle style risks and it is the only way you are going to challenge your creative mind to learn something new. Most importantly you learn from risk-taking. Sometimes you win sometimes you lose but in the end, the losses are actually a win because you learn from those mistakes and make a wiser decision the next time.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being a dancer/choreographer my whole life is something I’ve been super passionate about and proud of. Now where I am in my career taking a full elevation into entrepreneurship. Opening two businesses around the art of dance. Tasmanian Dance Expo (dance convention) is a company based in Tasmania Australia, where I grew up. Bringing an internationally renowned dance convention to the state of Tasmania once a year. The first-ever big dance event ever to hit the state of TAS. Business partner Lockhart Brownlie and I forced to take our convention online for its first year July 10.11.12 2020. Alongside the TDE company I have a sister business with Director Jess Orcsik called “Dance International” with company AAFTA (American Arts Film Television Academy) based in Los Angeles, we hold 3 Month Mentorships for Australian dancers who have the hopes and dreams to work and live in the US. Training highly educated and talented professional dancers to up-level their careers internationally. Aside from my deep passion for the arts, dance, and our young generation I am in entrepreneurship of my own online business. I lead and guide people to full financial freedom through the online space. With the world evolving and changing so fast I believe that without knowledge of generating an income flow through the vehicle of the internet you may become left behind. I am beyond passionate about guiding people to their full financial freedom in this millennial era.

Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
I would defiantly take my friends on a hike or two around LA. Early morning hikes in Malibu/Pasadena. If it’s a beautiful sunny day I would take them to Malibu Farm Cafe. Such a beautiful place to eat and look at the view of the ocean. We would take a trip down to Laguna Beach one day experience the beach and enjoy lunch right in the hustle and bustle. I would also like to take my family or friends for a shop down Melrose, even head over to the grove, and in the evening, we would head to my favorite night bar Black Market Liquor Bar. Enjoy the atmosphere and delicious wines.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Yes! OMG So many people. I have 4 very influential people in my life to this date. My dance school teacher Jenina Evans was my biggest role model and still is to this day. She taught me so much about believing in myself from the age of 5yrs to 17yrs old. Still to this day she is like a mother to me. Jason Winters the biggest influence on my training as a dancer, Choreographer, assistant, and teacher. He is the wises, most creative person I’ve met. Still to this day I don’t think I’ve ever met a better educator and teacher. EVER. Kevin Maher. Has made a MASSIVE impact on my career especially in Los Angeles. He has mentored me out here in LA for about 6 years now. He trained me to be a seasoned dancer, Creator, and assistant. He has taught me so much about communication as a businesswoman and much much more. Talia Di Gulio. My now mentor, teacher, and best friend. This woman has been leading the way for me in the online world. Learning from her so much about creating massive financial freedom in the online space through a vehicle that can change my life and many for years to come in my life.
