Hi Samantha, what’s the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Today marks Chasin’ Unicorns, LLC 3rd birthday! 3 years ago we launched as a spiritual lifestyle blog. Now have a full product line and we are one of the only crystal-infused, pampering subscription box companies on the market. We just passed our future major goal in subscriber count! What started out as a one-man team, is now expanding and it has been so fun growing my business and bringing on team players who share my vision and believe in our mission. The most important lesson I have learned along my journey so far, is consistency and authenticity. I believe that I was only able to build this brand to where it is now, because of my authenticity and bringing our followers along for the journey. People love to see the behind the scenes actions and your trials and tribulations. Our most loyal customers have been here from the beginning and have seen how much we have grown and continue to grow. As an entrepreneur you end up learning so much as you go, especially from your mistakes. There will be days that you don’t feel like working and that is fine. As long as you never quit! Consistency, determination, discipline, and belief. Every month we continue to grow, there is not quitting. There is no stopping. There is no taking no for an answer.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As our monthly pamper subscription box has taken over as our best-seller, it has been really fun growing our business and interacting with our customers who truly thank us for giving them the opportunity to slow down, relax, drop into meditation, and take a moment of quiet time for self-love and self-care dedicated just to them. What keeps me busy most professionally is learning how to delegate tasks properly to my team and making sure each monthly subscription box is the best one to date. Growing a subscription-based product has been so fun! Sourcing items in the box definitely takes some work and is the most time consuming but also fun because our followers trust me. I think, okay what do I personally need or would actually use and want in a box this month for my pampering ritual routine? I know that whatever I love and truly use, our followers will feel the same. Developing this type of relationship is the key to small business success. That we are real people. That every single item in our box will get used and that is what set’s it apart from every other box on the market. Rather it’s having our production team manufacture thousands of units of our of Chasin’ Unicorns best sellers, or outsourcing to one of my affiliate brands or newfound favorites, professionally this takes up a lot of my time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting me in my current home town, Huntington Beach, CA. I would rent an Airbnb on the water or a hotel room at the Pasea Hotel and Spa. We would lay by the pool, have some drinks and sushi, go to a spa appointment for a full body massage, and then end the day with the drinks on the water bar. In the morning we would ride bikes to the beach and get Jan’s Health Bar for lunch or head to Mothers Market for some fresh juice. I also love going up to Los Angeles on Melrose, Venice, Beverly Hills, and Sunset Blvd. For live music, watching the sunset, and networking at local events. Los Angeles is my favorite place to meet fellow entrepreneurs. Some local favorite spots are Javiers in Newport Beach, Sushi on Fire in downtown Huntington Beach, MTN in Venice Beach, and I also love to try new places.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and friends have been a huge support and I am so grateful for them. My sister and owner of LitUnicorns.com have also been such a motivation and support. We are getting ready to launch our own CBD company CrystalBodyDrip.com and it was been really fun working and growing with someone who shares the same mindset.
