Idit Or | Founder & Owner of DelighTeas®
To me, true success is balance. It’s about finding harmony between the work I love, the life I want to live, and the way I go about it. Of course, as a business owner, I’m always striving for growth, customer satisfaction, and positive feedback, but true fulfillment comes from feeling a sense of balance. The thing is, balance is always in flux, it’s not constant, and as such, sometimes it means more energy into business or life. There is this term in Ayurveda, Sama Agni, that means balanced digestion. Besides the obvious association with food, digestion also applies to all life experiences and emotions. Being able to digest life properly is said to be the key to overall well-being. This concept inspires me greatly, and it’s what I strive for every day. Read more>>
Veronica Clayborne | Podcast Host, Former reality TV personality, mother, entrepreneur
As a mom of five, the most important thing I’ve done as a parent is protect my children from the pains of the modern world until they are ready. I protect them from growing up too fast. I protect them from social media giving them unrealistic views of what success and family is. I’ve protected them from being celebrity obsessed and viewing life outside of the Los Angeles bubble as what is real, valued and important. Read more>>

I think collaboration is a core principle that sometimes gets overlooked in the entertainment industry especially by young up and coming creatives. When people think about artists, we always imagine a lonely visionary and we revere auteurs who can do it all by themselves. But the truth is, nothing can happen in a vacuum and nobody is an island. When you work in community with fellow artists you are challenged to manage diverse experiences, expectations and working styles leading to a more richer and multi faceted end product. That’s why getting film set experience or any experience working in a collaborative capacity with other people is crucial for artists. Read more>>

Community, with out community I believe it is very difficult to cultivate and develop an idea into reality. With out the support of those who truly believe in ones mission the journey would feel empty and almost helpless. As one continues to build and grow their ideas, the community must feel just as important and invested as the visionary themselves. I remind my team members and supporters how important they are in the overall picture and to our success. We are a team, and every player matters. Read more>>
Janna Savatgy | Textile Artist & Mom
“fake it till you make it” – I disagree heavily with this; don’t fake anything. Be true to yourself completely. We all have to start from some sort of “ground” so don’t belittle yourself in the process. Secure your foundation first. View everything as a learning experience, and go after that goal / craft / trade you feel as though is “out of your league”. Read more>>
Zhuosi (joyce) He | Set Designer & Production Designer
My end goal has always been to create something that deeply resonates with the audience. There’s something uniquely powerful about watching a live performance or film in a dark theater, surrounded by others—especially that moment when the room seems to breathe as one while watching a great production. Our shared responses to what unfolds on stage create an unspoken connection, and you can almost feel the person next to you experiencing the same emotions, thoughts, and revelations as you are. That collective, almost ritualistic experience is what draws me to theater and film. Read more>>
