We were fortunate to catch up with some brilliant artists, creatives and entrepreneurs from throughout the Houston area and they share the wisdom with us below.

What sets my art apart from others is my focus on bars and lyrics. My lyrics touch on subjects that make the listener think outside the box while still having relatability. I am most excited about my new project that I am working on called Krash Landed On Earth, because I am integrating music to make people dance. I am really excited about mosh-pits, and getting people to stand up, let go and have fun It was not easy creating is definitely a grind within itself. Read More>>

My art is a cross between art, invention, and fashion. I tend to gravitate towards things that look like little characters or things that have a very unique function. I like to think there is a little inventiveness behind the things that I make. Things that make me excited are objects that look like toys but are really meant for that inner child in me. I think a really good description is that I want my work to have a character behind them. Read More>>

I am proud to be a photographer who understands light in ways most of the world doesn’t. Having worked grip and electric for over 8 years all around the world I have worked with my fair share of brands like Gucci, Bulvgari, Chloe, Addidas and so many more plus celebrities like Lebron James, JLo, Travis Scott and Teyanna Taylor to name a only a few. It is through my business that I am able to share my gifts and natural talents. My primary gift is to help people process their feelings, experiences, and perception of themselves. I offer support for sensitive, creative people navigating burnout, self-doubt, and life’s deeper turning points. My approach isn’t therapy, but it’s rooted in deep, reflective conversation and compassionate support. Read More>>

I define success as a living relationship between who you are, how you express yourself, the actions you take every day, and the life you choose to create with your higher personal vision. Success is realizing our potential individually and acting on it. It’s all created in the present moment, with many successful moments that stack and create a momentum that becomes a ‘force to be reckoned with’. It’s like you become the success rather than seeing success outside of yourself. Success becomes a way of living & a rhythm of becoming the highest version of yourself every day— rather than an achievement or a one time destination. Read More>>

I believe that continuing every day to make the decision of never giving up on my dream & to make art that can be timeless but still a part of me & vulnerable in a way, has very much brought forth my success. The minute you decide to pursue not just the career that you want, but also the type of work, art, stories you prefer to tell, is the minute you will begin to elevate in your career. If it brings you the most joy, the most fulfillment, that is what you should be reaching towards. And you WILL get there. Read More>>

The way I view acting is from a place of inner stillness and surrender; a place of being uninhibitedly present. The work I’ve done that I’m most proud of feels like an uncensored free fall. I go all in on my scene work. Uncertainty and curiosity have allowed me to access dimensions of myself I may not have otherwise uncovered. I am deeply committed to my moral compass, but it’s in the moments I allow myself to exist without a map that I find the most honest expressions of who I am as an artist. And person! Read More>>

Elemental is more than a business, it’s a cultural movement. A way of life. Our mission is to reconnect humans to the rest of Nature by providing spaces for people to engage with mindful, embodied practices. We believe the delusion that humans are separate from Nature causes us and our planet immeasurable suffering. Read More>>

Inner Design was never built only as a business. It was created as a way to restore balance, presence, and creativity in people’s lives, knowing that when one person finds that alignment it naturally ripples out into their community. I have seen time and again that stress is not just personal, it is collective. When a leader is burnt out, the weight falls on their team. When a parent is overwhelmed, the family feels it. When a student is anxious, it shapes their learning environment. The opposite is also true. When one person is able to pause, breathe, and reconnect with their natural rhythm, everyone around them benefits. Read More>>

Letters of a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke – it felt like a blueprint on how to live life, not just for creatives but for anyone. The concepts were quite simple yet poetic & profound. It’s the only book I’ve re-read a couple times. Read More>>

The habits that have helped me succeed are rooted in both practical routines and a philosophy of life that I strive to live every day. At the core of this philosophy is: Stop Dreaming and Start Creating. I’ve learned that greater self-awareness of who I am and why I do what I do helps me avoid repeating mistakes and keeps me aligned with my purpose for forward momentum. Mastering self-awareness isn’t easy, but I nurture it by staying close to my Passion, Principle, Purpose, and Values. Each morning, I ask myself: What do I stand for? This guides my intentions and the actions I take. Read More>>

The value that matters most to me is empathy. Growing up as the daughter of immigrant parents, I saw how easily people could be dismissed or misunderstood, and how transformative it felt when someone truly listened and cared. That contrast stayed with me my entire life. Empathy became my strongest compass. It is allows us to see one another fully, beyond labels or assumptions. For me, it’s not just about kindness, it’s about honoring the humanity in others and creating space where everyone feels seen and valued. Read More>>

Most people think chiropractic care is only about back pain or recovery after car accidents, but it’s so much more than that. Chiropractors work with the spine to support the nervous system, which is the body’s main communication network. When the spine is properly aligned, the nervous system can send signals more effectively, helping the entire body—muscles, organs, skin, and more—function at its best. Chiropractic care isn’t just for adults or pain relief; it can benefit people of all ages, from infants to seniors, by supporting overall health and wellness. Read More>>

Now that I am a therapist, I love hearing stories from my friends and peers about their experiences in their own therapy. What strikes me is that many feel their talk therapy has plateaued in some way, yet they are too uncomfortable to address this with their therapists. Often, they will simply terminate treatment without discussing their concerns. Read More>>

The most difficult decision for me was to change my field of studies from Chemistry to Acting and that too by moving from Ahmedabad a city in India to Newyork. It was challenging as I come from a community where people tend to focus a lot on business or some other high education jobs and coming from a business family to go and become an actor was a tough task as I was not surrounded by even one artist or actor in my family or friends back home. Work-life balance is one of my top priorities when deciding which projects to take on. As a registered dietitian, brand consultant, and health writer, I’ve learned to be intentional with my time and energy. One of the biggest lessons has been knowing it’s okay to say no—even to opportunities that align with my skills and values—if they don’t fit my current capacity. I’ve seen that when something is truly meant for you, it often circles back. This mindset helps protect my peace and honors the natural introvert in me. Read More>>

We all have to work… Unless you’re a trust-a-farian or you won the lottery or something… even then, you still have to do something I suppose. I don’t think of architecture as work anymore, it’s just a part of who I am. I take my kids and wife with me to job sites, meet clients, the permit office, tile warehouse, furniture makers studios, etc etc etc. I’m always working and I’m always living my life, doing what I need to be doing. I guess it’s more like a flow now than a balance. So how has it changed over time? For the better. … and how do I think about the balance? I don’t. Read More>>
