The deciding factor: what’s the most important factor behind your success?

There are so many factors that can play a role in determining our results, performance and ultimately our success, but some factors matter more than others. We asked folks what they felt was the most important factor driving their success.

Our Physical Therapy Team at Monarch has been successful due to creating a supportive work environment. As a co-founder in a leadership position, my number one priority is to listen to and support my team. My vision with Monarch Athletic Club is to create a medical facility where clinicians and coaches still want to work in healthcare. Our current healthcare system is filled with intelligent, talented, and passionate individuals, yet many feel working in the system is unsustainable, productivity-driven, and leads to burnout. Just trusting God and trusting the process of the art career just like I trust the process of a painting. At times especially with art it’s going to look and seem like it’s not going to work out but you have to keep painting and grinding out those late painting nights and believing that you’re big blessing is coming. Along with faith and believing you also have to just create as much as possible and stay in the art mix, networking with other artists and potentially buyers as well. Read more>>

The most critical factors behind my success have been surrounding myself with more senior authors, enabling me to learn from their experiences. Writing and success can be very isolating. However, as a debut author, over the past 3 years, I made it a point to grow my circle and network with other authors and writers. We provide each other feedback on our manuscripts to make them better. Read more>>

My philosophy towards PLUGS is quality over quantity. I take my time with each film and project that I’m working on, making sure that it’s at a quality that I’m satisfied with. I use ever resource available to me into whatever I’m working on to make sure I make the best possible project that I believe the audience will be happy with. Read more>>

The most important factor behind my success is my determination of never calling it quits and the hope and believe that my family and friends have in me and my talent. Read more>>

The most important factor behind my success is consistency. I engage with my audience when they ask me questions, I post follow up videos and give advice when they ask me advice and they really appreciate it. It makes people feel like they’re interacting with more than just another brand because I make sure to let them know that there’s another human on the side of the screen reacting to what they’re saying. Three things are important in a band, song, or probably any artistic endeavor. Two events are both the hardest and most important. Starting and finishing. As artists, we can think, discuss, and contemplate what we want to do. Until we start, we have nothing. On the other end, until we finish, we have nothing. Almost anything can be rewritten, remixed, and rearranged until the end of time. Read more>>

I wanted to show people you can be authentic. You can show up as yourself. My brand has been successful because I show people through my platform its ok to be you! I wanted to know they are enough. Whether they are having a good day or a bad, what’s most important is you are enough. Read more>>

One of the biggest factors that has helped me in my career as a videographer, photographer, creative (aside from the obvious of creating good work) is just being a good person. The creative industry can be filled with a lot of big personalities and it can be difficult to navigate all the people you come across, especially when working in entertainment or music. Read more>>

Everything changed, almost like magic, the moment waking up at 5am became a habit. Following the teachings of the books “The 5am Club” and “Atomic Habits” I started to focus not on my goals but on the process of reaching that goal. I wake up at 5am everyday, I go for a run, meditate, plan out my day, learn something new and by 8am I am ready to “start the day”, which means doing acting stuff. Like I said, it kinda feels like magic, stuff happens in your brain that I can’t really explain but, having such a clear morning routine, that requires a lot of effort sometimes, gives you a lot of confidence. Consistency in quality, character, and community. I consider it incredibly important to be someone others can count on to come through on their project and to be just as passionate about its success as they are. It takes a large amount of trust to bring people onto a team and, as much as it relies on me, I will ensure that a client’s dreams are realized. Read more>>

That’s an easier said than done answer. But, 1000% Belief in myself and owning it. So often we can be the only thing in our way of success. Simply because we don’t believe it can happen for us or that we deserve it. Or we can think we are being cocky and boastful, and Or, in my case it was the “What happens if it does work” what’s next, can I handle the pressure, demand, etc. And to add one more thing to that, knowing what I’m truly doing it for. Knowing my mission and then believing in it with everything I have, Is my success. Read more>>

More than anything, relationships are the most important factor, both in terms of business and as the reason why I do this work. I approach therapy in a relational way and believe that connection with others is one of the most critical parts of this life, aside from human essentials as described by Maslow. Relationships have shown me my blind spots, gotten me jobs, created referral sources, and nourished me in a way that my previous path did not. Read more>>
