Charcu.tori was the first actual business venture that came into fruition. I always admired food styling, and the idea of putting my creativity into something that could bring joy to others really helped guide me to starting this business. I used to work with girls who had been in and out of juvenile hall due to sex trafficking. One of my students approached me for help finding resources in the community to transition into society without having to return to sex trafficking to survive. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find resources that addressed emotional and character well-being while promoting financial independence through career training (not job training) for the girls I worked with. This is a fun one! If you were to tell me ten years ago where my life was at today, I wouldn’t have believed you. I didn’t think I would be doing something that I absolutely love and that is so not the norm. I started out in the medical field as a nurse in the hospital working long hours and just beginning a family.
