What are you ultimately striving for?

We asked rising stars from the community to open up to us about their end goal. We asked them where they want to be, professionally, by the end of their careers and have shared some of those responses below.

What’s the end goal? Where do you want to be professionally by the end of your career?
I’m afraid that most of us don’t even realize how conventional our goals have become — earn as much money as possible, wear expensive clothes, buy one or two oceanfront homes, fly private or at least business class, sell a company, write a book about success, then start another company… and repeat this cycle until the end of life. Ultimately, I hope to leave behind stories that resonate long after the credits roll. To be someone who consistently creates work in writing and film that are emotionally immersive and genre-defying, using fantastical worlds to illuminate real human struggles and social issues. If my work helps reshape the industry for the better—opening doors for new voices and offering audiences more meaningful, transformative experiences—I’ll consider that a legacy worth leaving. The end goal of this whole entrepreneurial adventure is to know a version of myself that moved mountains mentally and physically to achieve a life of freedom and fulfillment that can change the course of generations to follow. Ultimately, I believe God put this creative dream on my heart as a roadmap to be able to experience freedom that brings me closer to the way I was meant to experience life, enlightenment and faith. The end goal for me as an actress is to stay in the game until death do us part! No giving up allowed! I always say that I’ll make it or die trying. Keep it going because acting truly brings me intense joy whether I’m putting up a scene in a class or acting professionally on a show.
