What habits do you feel helped you succeed?

There is a wealth of research that indicates that certain habits can help increase your productivity, creativity, and/or drive. So, we thought we’d reach out to respected members of our community and ask them what habits they feel helped them succeed.

Staying organized – Keeping track of assignments, deadlines, and responsibilities helped me avoid last-minute stress and stay on top of my work.

I changed the definition of “networking” for myself, and I try to encourage others to do the same. Instead of stepping out to meet people who can help you, I make it a goal to step out and meet people that I can and want to help. This makes the process of “networking” much more enjoyable and satisfying. I truly believe preparation is my best habit. Any creative field prompts the risk of flying by on passion, but I’m a firm believer in taking the time on the front end to make things tick properly. I love prepping films. It’s a combination of collaboration between departments, translating text to visual language, and playing build-a-blocks with equipment and location, and it’s a process I’ve fallen in love with.
