Ziyao Jiang | UX & Product Designer
Deciding to study abroad at the age of 14 was undoubtedly the most pivotal decision in my journey toward success. After a summer trip to Canada with my family, I realized that there was a vast world beyond my hometown of Xi’an, waiting to be explored. Driven by this realization, I spoke with my parents and persuaded them to allow me to pursue my education abroad, despite their understandable concerns. Life in Canada presented its own set of challenges; my initial homestay experience was far from ideal. However, when I switched to a new host family and immersed myself in the school’s art classes, I found my footing. Read more>>

Cheryl Groskopf | Holistic & Somatic Psychotherapist
Honestly, the biggest decision that changed everything for me was deciding to stop trying to be everything to everyone and instead focus on what I’m truly passionate about—anxiety, trauma, and attachment—and integrating it with somatic and holistic therapies. Early on, everyone was telling me to keep things broad, to be ready for any client who walked through the door. To be courageous. Well, I might be cheating a bit here because although this started as a single decision, it’s actually a decision I make over and over. Chao Han | lead editor for vertical shorts
The single most important decision I made was to embrace being open-minded and humble enough to keep learning. I studied animation in my college, but after learning how animation is done, I became curious about how filmmaking works in the real world. So, I found a job as a producer for commercials, gaining hands-on experience in every phase of production, from development to post-production. I was good at it, but it wasn’t enough for me. I wanted to go deeper, to see how filmmaking was really done—especially in Hollywood. Quitting my job to study filmmaking in Hollywood was a turning point. Read more>>
