Over time, my work-life balance has gotten significantly better. It’s honestly always been challenging because as an artist, my hobbies align closely with my career. And because of that, it can be so easy to overwork. My balance now comes from a natural flow versus when I would overwork myself to get pieces finished. For me, art is a bit more spiritual. I like to let my intuition be the guide to my creativity and I trust it to also bring me balance. I trust that no matter what the process is for a specific painting, It will say what it wants to in time, through me, on its own. Film to me, was always what I saw doing. As a kid, I was enthralled by the behind-the-scenes of DVDs and Blu-rays. Being able to see how films were made showed me that anyone could do it.
