We had the good fortune of connecting with Jason Xanon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jason, what matters most to you?
Simple… loyalty, compassion, authenticity and kindness. Creating a brand, making music, and maintaining a healthy relationship are crucial factors. Being genuine and authentic about my approach, and how I conduct myself in a personal and professional setting is extremely important to me. Being in the field of creative work should never feel forced, and I know that I personally have to remind myself how incredibly important it is to feed your soul with positive thoughts, good actions and, of course, love. Being a better human being is the first step, otherwise, you won’t find a connection with your audience and your message will be lost in all the noise.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I use to walk around blindly when I was a teenager, and how I approached the world then was completely different to how I see and approach it now. Nothing in is easy, and if you are willing to walk into the unknown, anything is possible.
I want people to recognize not only my brand, but how I choose to live my life. My only wish is to inspire those who are afraid to do their impossible and make it possible.
One of my favorite quotes I stumbled on a few years ago was: “Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don’t wish it were easier; wish you were better.” Jim Rohn.” I always wanted to be better, but it wasn’t to impress anyone specifically. I wanted to prove to myself that I could achieve anything, and I knew that if I applied myself as hard as my parents did when I was younger, I knew I could make excel and create my own achievements.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have always been a huge fan of traveling, and in California we can hit so many places in such timely manners. I am also a huge fan of nature, and would definitely bring my best friend to Yosemite National Park. This location alone brings my spirit to peace. I would solely bring my friend to this place to escape the internet, to escape what social media demands from us, and to really intake what this beautiful world is really all about. It’s all about capturing the moment we are living in. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a special thank you to my parents, my brother and sister! For allowing me to pursue my dreams, and feel completely supported by them. I wouldn’t be the person I am today, if I didn’t have guidance from them!
I also want to also give a shoutout to my girlfriend, Angelique (@miss_angeliquew) ! Though we haven’t been together for too long, she has inspired me in so many ways. She came into my life when I didn’t know where my own sense of direction in life seemed too far out of reach. As a creative herself, she has motivated me to approach life differently, and enjoy even the smallest aspects of life. She has been such a blessing to my life, and I owe a lot of my approach now to her.
I would also like to recognize my friend Angel (@soundbysol) ! As a music producer, singer/songwriter, and partner in our project Airspoken, he has inspired me to apply myself harder as a musician. Being a writer nowadays is a bit different to how it use to be, more or less of, and really makes me scratch my head when it comes to writing better material.
