Meet Paydin LoPachin | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paydin LoPachin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paydin, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
As long as I can remember my life has been about risk taking. Even as a little girl I wanted to put myself out there more than my piers. Thinking back, I wish my mindset was more like it was when I was a child. I’d fear less, not worry as often, and never give in to my insecurities, but life happens! When I was young I begged my parents to let me attend a modeling competition in my tiny home town. Long story short, they let me. I ended up winning the entire competition, which led me down the acting/modeling career as young as 8. Again, I had no fear, just craved fun! It didn’t even feel like it was taking a risk, more like going on an adventure. I’ve tried to keep that motto throughout my life as I journeyed through the acting world and into the entrepreneur life. I think if we view taking a risk as something negative or scary, doors will never open. Opportunities will leave our side and what could have been will never be. Risk shouldn’t be followed by fear, but by excitement and passion. That’s the only reason I am where I am today.

What should our readers know about your business?
A few years ago I created a product that protects athletes fingers. This idea came from pure necessity. I am a very active person! I love volleyball, paddle boarding, kayaking, and cross fit. The only downfall was my fingers were taking a beating. I would get the worst blisters, callouses, and even jammed a few fingers. I would use tape and Band-Aids, but nothing would work. I heard the same complaints from my fellow athletes, so I decided to take matters into my own fingers ( see what I did there? ) and do something about it. It took many trial and error moments to get the right prototype. Many manufacturers and seamstresses would turn me away. Apparently. making a tapered “tube” for your finger is not easy. Finally, after a year of being rejected, laughed at, and told it will never work, I found people who shrugged and said “Sure, I’ll give it a try.”. It just takes that one person to give you a chance. It might take you a year or two to find that person, but it’s worth it. Just because it’s taking a long time to reach some form of success, doesn’t mean you’re failing. If I could give any advice on being an entrepreneur or inventor, never EVER give up. Even when you feel like nothing can be done, keep pushing. If you’re passionate enough about your idea, it will happen. Luckily, that’s what I did. I didn’t give up. I went through several manufactures, but found the right fit. I now sell my product world-wide to various markets such as Volleyball ( indoor and beach), Golf, Basketball, Football, Paddle boarding, Kayaking, Pole Vault, Dodgeball, Tennis, and even those who suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis. My product is a tapered limestone neoprene ring that shields the skin from blisters, callouses, and tearing as well as protects the bones, ligaments, and tendons. They are durable, washable, and reusable. Made to withstand harsh conditions such as ocean salt water and sweat. Environmentally friendly. Throw away the tape and step into the future with my company, NAGINI Brand.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I’m currently living in a small town in Texas for the mean time, but Texas is the place to be! If I had a friend visiting I would mainly fatten them up while they were here. I’d take them to some of the best BBQ places in town and then we’d enjoy a nice cold glass of beer at the downtown brewery. I’m big on sitting by a fire and having good conversations, so that’s how we’d end the day. The great thing about small town Texas cities are the boutique shops and small town friendly vibes. We’d walk around, shop, visit with kind strangers, and enjoy a glass of ice tea by the local town river. Sounds like a wonderful trip to me!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This might be a cliché, but I’d have to give a major shoutout to my parents! I honestly could not have had such a weird, exciting, and prosperous life without them.
My father has always been my backbone and someone I can look up to. While he’s not only my best friend he’s also my business partner. If not for his open mind and faith in me, my company would not be where it’s at today. I thank God every day for such a hard working father that I can look to for business and life advice.
My mother is my rock! She’s been through thick and thin with me and has always supported me no matter what. Her enormous heart leaves me stunned constantly. If ever I need a pick me up, she’s there with the exact comforting words I crave. She sacrificed so much of her life so that I could have experiences unlike so many others. I hope one day I can repay her. God give me the strength to be as courageous, kind, and generous as her.
