We had the good fortune of connecting with Frankie Barrios and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Frankie, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I think taking risks is essential to living a fulfilling life because playing it safe will only get you so far. When I say taking risks, I don’t mean being careless in your choices. I mean listening to yourself and being honest with yourself. Ask yourself- what do I really want out of this life? What are the experiences I would like to have? Your answers maybe very different from what you’ve be told you should want, and that can be scary to go against. But then that’s the risk. Do you take the safe route set out for you or do you make a plan and go for it?

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am excited about the work I’ve been doing as an creator and entertainer. I have been working on my own projects. Specifically two characters, complete opposites but both entertaining educators. I’ve also been grateful to be doing work as an actress. The road here has had a few twists, turns, roadblocks -you name it. I realize staying focus is so important. All of us have experiences which hopefully gives us wisdom. I’d like to share some of my wisdom with the world and I hope they can get useful information from it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Most people who have visited me generally never been to Los Angeles, so I take them to LACMA to see the light posts, to the Santa Monica/Venice Beach then later to a quieter beach. Also take them to DTLA grand central market. Get some good eats there. Anywhere they want to go!
