We had the good fortune of connecting with Levi Loggins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Levi, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I believe, as the founder of The Actor’s Gym, that our success comes from believing in our members. I always tell my members that they do not need to be broken people to be great actors. It is possible to be kind to yourself, take care of your mental health, and still be successful in the entertainment industry. I believe the way most acting courses have been taught has been centered around ripping ourselves open traumatically and never paying attention to sew ourselves back up again. We as people need to take care of ourselves and each other. I am constantly providing positive feedback and checking in on our members to help them grow from a place of healing, rather than tearing them down. In order to be our best selves we must take care of our own mental health, and I make sure to help our members keep this in mind every step of the way! I believe our members see this and that is the key to our success here at The Actor’s Gym.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Actor’s Gym is exactly that: a gym for actors! We believe that much like bodybuilders, we must exercise our muscles (in this case our actor’s muscles) as often as we can to stay in top shape! We have created a safe space where actors from all over the world can come together online every week to participate in our Actor’s Workouts to do just that. From our 6 different Table Reads, Improv Game Nights, Disney Drinking Game Parties, Shakespeare Sundays, Book Clubs to Workshops, and Group Discussions we offer so many different avenues for actors to affordably and reliably sharpen their skills as often as they would like to every week. We offer our services in English, French, and Spanish for anywhere in the world that sustains a Zoom connection. As we look to the future we plan to expand our services to physical locations like Los Angeles, New York City, Quebec, and London in the years to come all while retaining the virtual aspect of our workouts to maintain the international relationships that have been fostered through the gym! Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I were to show you around the wonderful city of Los Angeles I would make sure to show you the wonderful whimsy our city has to offer! We would start with a late brunch at Figaro, a french cafe in Los Feliz right across from the famous House of Pies. We would then spend the day visiting the beautiful Getty Villa and visiting one of our gorgeous beaches on the way back. We would wrap up the evening either by getting crazy at the clubs in West Hollywood or watching some mind-melting magic shows at our very own mysterious speakeasy-style bar and magic club Black Rabbit Rose.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to every single member of The Actor’s Gym. It is truly the most rewarding thing in my life to watch every single one of you grow and heal together as actors (and as people!) in this safe community we have created.
