We had the good fortune of connecting with Niki Cozmo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Niki, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My background is in trauma and PTSD, so whether someone has experienced massive trauma or minor trauma, post traumatic experiences can not truly be measured. With that being said, almost all humans on this planet have lived through a trying time. Especially now, having gone through a global pandemic, people are in need of support. Hypnotherapy is a gentle and yet wildly successful approach to healing. My clients range in age and backgrounds and having worked with thousands of people, I know that everyone leaves a session with something positive to gain. My business helps bring people back into their bodies and back in touch with their emotions. It heals wounds and scars, thus shaping a more harmonious world.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Anyone who’s worked with me knows I’m an optimist and a realist. “I’m the therapist that cusses”, I often joke. By keeping it completely real, I invite people to show up in vulnerability and openness. I create a safe and relatable environment for people to be heard and seen. In my business I am known (on the one hand) to bring humor and light heartedness, while on the other hand I encourage deep dives into the subconscious for massive transformation. I am deeply connected to the darker sides of life and by bringing both light and dark together, my work is known to be transformational. Having been through the depths of hell myself, I show people that happiness and success is possible post loss/grief. My success is due in part to the traumatic life experiences I’ve been through and understanding that the only way forward is by catalyzing the pain. I want that for everyone!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Visiting Los Angeles? Take a dip into our beautiful Pacific Ocean on the shores of Malibu. Got an evening to spare? Rent a scooter and bar hop down in Venice beach for fruity drinks, crazy food and even wilder people. Want to get your body moving? Try out any part of our Santa Monica mountains for a hiking experience you won’t forget (you might even find a fossil!) Want to go back in time? The Old Place Restaurant takes you back to the wild wild west and serves some of the best steak in LA!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I dedicate my shoutout first and foremost to my parents. Losing them both to death early on in my life catapulted me into this line of work and way of being. It was by virtue of losing them both did I find ways to transmute my pain into purpose. I’d also like to dedicate a shoutout to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. Discovering his books at a young age forged the way to my bright and successful future and allowed me to remain compassionate in otherwise distressing times.
