Meet Tam Oonz | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tam Oonz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tam, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I could say i had few reasons,,i never wanted to work for someone. I like when i have freedom of choice and movement. It is a bit stressful sometimes, but working on my own ideas and projects is what i want to do in Life and if it also brings money what can be better than that.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I always was an Artists, since my early age,, Never had any questions about who am i, or what i want to do in life e.t.c
Being an artist is not an easy job, i think it never was., It is full time, your brain is ocuppied 24/7,,
Especially what i do most of the time is large scale art/street/indoor art. It takes a lots of energy, you are working Physicaly and mentally at the same time. So its double work, its a huge challenge, but Loving what i do makes it’s much easier and i’m always trying to have fun with what i do. Having fun and doing it with grace is the main Lesson.
The story behind everything i do, and success is very hard work, sleepless nights, restless day’s, busy weekends,
and thoughts behind ‘maybe not worth it’ but when i see the result all goes, and i’m 100% sure all the effort was done correctly.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First of all i’d take them to Fabrika to drink/eat/hangout/have fun. Than for walking tour to Graffiti and street art Spots, (My visitor friends are artists most of the time, so they always ask me to take them to places where they can paint.)
After to an old Parts of my City/Tbilisi,
than to the sea side/Batumi or mountains,.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
People who trust me, my clients and company’s that i use to work as a freelancer Designer/Illustrator/Artist. Trust is important and base of all the great things. Everyone and everything around me i would say,.
Most of the time they are people who Loves and appreciat’s what i do for them or what i do in general,
I put all my energy and heart into it and they see it.
