We had the good fortune of connecting with Melanie Ulceus and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melanie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Commitment. Whether I’m online or offline I’m committed to making my dreams and goals happen no matter what the cost is. Travelstylecreative is successful not because of the cute fun images posted. It’s successful because I’ve managed to cultivate a connection through a variety of people by staying committed to being authentic.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Im currently an Agency Model with BicoastalMgmt NY and a content creator on my page ~ Travelstylecreative. I started my page seeking spiritual healing on a journey and realized my thoughts / feelings created greater impact than I could ever imagine. My first and main dream was to become a model and I’m still actively pursuing it. I’ve had major setbacks from being dropped/signed out of my first agency, loosing myself career wise, and just navigating my inner world to who I saw myself becoming. I want the world to know that I’ve learned it’s not your journey that defines you, it’s your character in how you choose to sow up for yourself that does.
Travelstylecreative alone showcases that through every thought written post alone.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d definitely take them to an upscale restaurant somewhere in Williamsburg followed by a cute little speakeasy in dumbo. The best plans are the ones on a whim :).

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would really like to take the time to dedicate all my successes to my closest friends, and my sisters for always reminding me why I began my journey in the first place. Every conversation -related or non related pushes me farther to aim high and reach for the stars. Thank you guys for being there – too many special names to mention, but you all know who you are.
