We had the good fortune of connecting with LaKisha DuCreay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi LaKisha, what is the most important factor behind your success?

What is the most important factor behind your success: I am going to say Me. My drive, focus and ambition to keep moving “Forward”no matter what challenges I came across.  Sometimes I didn’t always have a clear vision on what would come next, I kept my faith, and did not stress about the unknown, and I knew God had me and I couldn’t do anything else but go up!

What is the most important factor behind the success of your brand? 

First, I am going to say a positive mindset.  I placed a thought in my mind that every time I entered a building, stepped in a room, office, event etc… that people would say the best mixologist is here, and knowing that I am the best at what I do! I fed and ate off my own energy to keep me moving forward towards my success.  By fueling myself with good energy it allowed me to be my very best authentic self, to create a cocktail of quality, it also allowed my passion, drive, and energy to flow each time a cocktail was created.  I always say…Anyone can make a cocktail, but it’s how the cocktail is presented and who the cocktail is represented by.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

We are bartenders to the stars, hi-profile clients, private events, residential events, corporate events, non-profit events, and weddings. La’Creays also offers a virtual mixologist, and personal concierge service.  We enjoy creating handcrafted signature cocktails, and remixing the most common cocktails served.

What sets La’Creays apart from others…

We are a business that gives back. It has always been a personal mission of mine…Whatever I do to create wealth I am able to give back to charity, conduct CPR training, give back to the community etc… As long as it is helping someone or making a difference in someone else’s life.

I got where I am today due to being self driven, failure and giving up just wasn’t an option! I would learn from my mistakes and never make those again to continue my  growth and success.

How I overcame challenges, and how I continue to overcome challenges is to stay positive and remain patient. You can always create new doors to walk through. Some doors you walk through can be rocky, you’re faced with many challenges, and another door you walk through, has a clear path with no obstacles. That allows you to create passionately and everything flows into place.

What I want the world to know…

You can do anything you want to do. You’re the outcome of your own reality. You must continue to encourage yourself, and push yourself to the breaking point, and right when you’re at that breaking point; you never give up and keep your faith.  And that’s when you will see the beauty in all your sacrifices, hardwork, dedication that you have put into making your dreams your actual reality.  And be proud about it because you did the work. No one else did the work for you!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

We would start off with Brunch at Paradise Cove in Malibu afterwards go to the beach for a photo shoot between friends.

Next will be a little shopping and roaming around at The Grove in Los Angeles.

Atv experience in Palm Springs

Hiking at Kenneth Hahn Park in Los Angeles. When you get to the top of the hill you can see Downtown LA and downtown Pasadena.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Thanks to my family and friends that have supported me since day one and continue to support me in anything that I do. And a special shout out to Producers Joshua and Carol Martin with (Genius Entertainment). I can remember standing in Carol’s living room, and she told me you can only go up! And I have held those words hostage ever since!
