We had the good fortune of connecting with Bj Wolf and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bj, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am from South Jersey. I say South because usually when people refer to New Jersey they talk in that silly dialect “Jwerzeee” and it’s god awful haha. Anyway North Jersey and South Jersey are completely different might as well be two separate states. South Jersey was an amazing place to grow up. My parents were high school sweet hearts. They had me in high school and because of that I instantly became both of my grandmothers last child. My Nana and Mommom became and are still a huge role in my life. I’m a mixture of rich culture Irish, Italian and Black. I grew up in a family that gave genuine love and taught nothing but love. That’s all I know how to do is give love I’m super grateful for it. I was also raised mostly by women. So I look up to women in my life as role models. They have shaped me to the kind living independent and strong man I am today.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Let’s see what would best describe me and my art. I’d like to say in the words of Michelle Obama “ I AM BECOMING”. And I mean that with all my heart. I’m on a beautiful journey I’m truly starting to understand what it takes to become a great actor. It takes time , you have to study the craft soak up all the knowledge you can, build relationships with other creatives. I’m very proud of me just keep on going because there are many times I wanted to give up but I didn’t. The road isn’t easy at all shucks I’m still on it but the key is to be persistent and have strong belief in yourself. I want to let the world know that Bj Wolf is coming ! And it’s gonna be great! So get ready!!!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting we’d most definitely go watch the sunset in Malibu. The most beautiful thing I’ve ever scene. Then I would take them downtown to relax at the pool at the Intercontinental. It’s very relaxing. To eat we have to stop by The Infamous Yamashiro Hollywood by far one of the best views in Los Angeles and great food as well! Also Santa Monica Pier is a must for all visitors. Pasadena has a beautiful Rose Garden that I love to go too. The California Science Center is really cool too there’s so much to do in Los Angeles the itinerary would depend on my friend.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shout out my Nana ( Cathleen Sheehan) and Mommom ( Rhoda Woolfolk) for always being there! I’ll love them forever and ever!
