We had the good fortune of connecting with Wendy Do and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wendy, how do you define success?
Success is about being happy and comfortable with an outcome and doing something correctly. It is about feeling accomplished when something is finished. Success is getting to do what you love.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I can proudly say that my art is unique, fabulous, and last but not least, it’s created to and style each client’s features. From brow shaping, tinting, perms, and to eyebrow tattoos, my art and creativity is personalized individually for each client. What sets me apart from other artists is the consistency in my work, as well as my love and passion for executing excellency by giving my clients that beautiful set of eyebrows. It’s rewarding to me to be able to give a boost of confidence when they look in the mirror and smile happily. I always knew that I was going to be successful with my business because, despite the challenges big or small, I’m a strong woman with tenacity, dedication, a hard work ethic, and most importantly, a family that is very supportive.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If anyone knows me, they’ll know that I love food and to be out doors! If a friend was visiting the area, I would start off with a hike near the Griffith Observatory, where you can find spectacular views of Los Angeles! We all know that LA is known for many different cultures with a diverse array of foods. We’d start off with lunch at one of my favorite Korean seafood restaurants in Redondo Beach for some live crab, sashimi, and spicy fish soup. Our next destination after lunch would be a stroll down the board walk at Venice Beach to see all the interesting street performers and arts and crafts. For dinner we would head to downtown LA for the ambiance, delicious food, and drinks. There are so many awesome places to eat and grab drinks in a friendly, fun atmosphere that I just can’t pick one spot. The most interesting place to me would be Venice beach where you can enjoy the ocean breeze and entertainment from the locals. Not only is Venice beach one of my favorites to be at, but Santa Monica pier is as well. It is a nice place to walk around at and clear your mind. There are so many beautiful and fun places to enjoy in Southern California, that it doesn’t matter what you’re doing, but it’s the people who you’re with that makes the experience unforgettable.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my husband of 21 years, Allen! He deserves the credit and recognition in my story because I wouldn’t be where I am today without his unconditional love and support. I want to thank him for believing in me and encouraging me to go after my dreams. He is the steady, strong rock for my three kids and I.
