Meet Tatyana Figueiredo | Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatyana Figueiredo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tatyana, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued an artistic career because it is a way to express myself to the world in a way that people would want to see or hear. Being an actress allows you to escape and be characters or people you otherwise would never be. You can find the strength or even the weaknesses inside yourself and bring that to the surface in an artistic way, giving a sort of emotional release. And having others feel inspired by your work or feel an array of emotions about it can be very fulfilling.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most proud of my persistence, as I know there is still so much that I want and need to accomplish. I have been in this industry for years, but I still feel like a beginner in some ways. I realized that I need to build my own community of creative people. You can’t wait for others to give you opportunities, you need to make them. You REALLY have to love what you do, because there is no guarantee you will succeed the way you think, but the process and the journey is what really matters.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live a plant-based lifestyle, so any vegan restaurants are a must, and I love to try ones I have never been to. Some of my favorites though are Cafe Gratitude, and a really small restaurant called Vegan Studio. As a Brazilian I NEED acai from time to time and I love to get it from Rio Zonas in North Hollywood. I love going to the beach of course, and try to go there anytime I can.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Family and friends have always been a massive support system for me, always pushing me to take risks, and do whatever I need to do to further myself artistically. They are always by my side when I want to share something, or need someone to talk to.
