Meet Joanna Kim-Pham | Don’t tell mama/ Piano Bar

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joanna Kim-Pham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joanna, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Be Responsible. Whether you own the business or work for a business, you need to be responsible for your role and your action. Be Respectful. Whether you’re an owner, Big paid customer, part-time worker, or cleaning crew, be respectful of each other- We all have the same feelings as humans. The Position isn’t superior.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am in the Piano Bar /Lounge business. We hire locally talented musicians especially singers (does bartending as well) and singing pianists. Mostly our singers are underground singers. Our company is actually helping them to expose their talent to the public also giving them an opportunity to make a connection with other musicians to level up themselves for better opportunities for the future.
I’ve learned from my business over the last 14 years that No matter who you are be responsible for your position and be respectful to others. I do believe that work smart way not a hard way but also deeply agree that hard working and sweat always paid off.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am in Las Vegas and My Business is in Downtown so I’d recommend going to Fremont experience where big roof screen show, street artists, Neonopolis plaza where a lot of small bars and retail stores also one and only iconic piano bar which my business at and Art District.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
well, I wish I have some great individuals, groups, and books to share but unfortunately I don’t. My inspiration and encouragement came from such a small ordinary daily life such as I often get inspired by people’s small kind acts, my pet’s unconditional love, inspiring quotes,(google) and friends’ conversations, faith, etc.
