Meet Tori Keeshin | Entrepreneur and CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tori Keeshin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tori, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I knew Vegnables had to be created and I couldn’t believe it hadn’t been done before. I felt like I had no choice but to start it myself. I didn’t really know where to begin but I just knew I had to start somewhere. I decided to create a Kickstarter and see what the response was. The support was amazing and it validated that people were waiting for a product like this.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am very proud of the fact that I have navigated various industries and have been lucky to find what is right for me and what makes me happy. I studied pre-med and then have worked in retail, hospitality (food, events) and tech. I love a challenge and soaking up as much knowledge as I can. I think being versatile has really helped in my career and also making connections with so many different people. I think the biggest lesson I have learned with starting my own business is that there will be days where you feel on top of the world and other days, where you feel completely stuck but just do something each day to move the needle, even if it’s just one phone call or email.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a huge vegan foodie so I would take them to eat all my favorite, very specific things. Here is a little taste:
-Crossroads for mac and cheese off the kids menu and caesar salad
-Summer Buffalo for Beyond meat Pad See Ew
-Loose Leaf Boba for Purple Roots smoothie (vegan version)
-Din Tai Fung for rice cakes
We would spend most of our time eating and besides that, going to the farmers market (more eating), hanging with my two little chihuahas, going to the beach or my gym’s rooftop pool and probably a hike.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My partner, Michael deserves a shout out. He, not only, pushed me to go for it and to keep going for it but stood by me through the stress and worries and my not so fun moments.
