We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaydene Oconnor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaydene, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is hard work, determination and my passion for what I do. Having a clear vison and setting goals has helped me create my brand over the years, listening to my clients needs and setting my staff up for success. Being able to do what I love has definitely helped my business grow and I am so proud of where I am today.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always been in the restaurant industry, I started working at 14 in a mom-and-pop restaurant and I loved it and wanted to learn how to cook and create my own meals. I knew my passion was to become a Chef at an early age and I have worked in every area of the restaurant industry. Being in the kitchen creating meals for my clients and planning experiences is what I do best, it’s my happy place! I think one of the things that sets me apart is my caring personality for each of my clients, I want them to feel like they are part of my family from the first time I talk to them to the moment I walk out the door after service, I want them to know that I care about everything I do from picking out the perfect ingredients, the way we cook & prepare, set the table in the perfect way, the plate presentation and the love for food I have. I want the world to know how passionate and creative I am, and I can’t wait to give them the best meal they can have made with all the love in my heart and soul.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Beside me cooking of course on some meals, I love to try new hot spots around the city and see what other Chef’s are doing.

But my favorite go to spots are
Sol y Luna for mexican
Tashio for Sushi
Anajak Thai
The little door
Bar Lis for cocktails
Mama Shelter for cocktails and a great view
Always love going to Malibu for some fun in the sun and also wine tasting
Hollywood bowl
and we can’t forgot shopping around

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Life is about having faith in one another, and I am one lucky Chef with a huge support team filled with so much love. I am lucky to have a great relationship with my boyfriend Tonito who is always by my side, amazing family in Oregon my Besties are always there for me 100% and even fly to come and work for me when I need them. I really am so grateful to all my friends in Los Angeles and around the world who always tell me how proud they are and always there to support me. My wonderful and hardworking staff who I couldn’t make all this happen without them. Having a strong support network and fantastic clients really makes a difference in my success.
