Meet ibti | Photographer & Creative Director

We had the good fortune of connecting with ibti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi ibti, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think taking risks is the key to success. I’d rather take a risk and see where it leads me, even if it doesn’t work out, but at least i will live my life without any regrets.
The biggest one was when i quit my former job and radically changed my path.
I started from scratch so i had no choice but to work hard.
My life and career are about taking risks every single day. In the beginning it was extremely challenging because i was shy and scared but now i just tell myself “Just go for it, you’ve got nothing to lose, listen to your guts”.
Until now, my biggest risks led me to my biggest dreams.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a self taught Photographer & Creative Director and describe my work as a combination of Art, Fashion and Cinema with a touch of Surrealism and Cyberpunk.
I started from scratch after quitting my former job, and built myself and my own network throughout the years. It was not easy because I arrived on an uncharted territory, even though i used to work in the Art and Fashion industry, this was a real new beginning.
It was a bumpy road. It took me a few years to be taken seriously. As an Artist, not everyone understands your art and you get easily criticized and judged, and i understand it because art is subjective, so i learned to get past that.
Main thing i’ve learned is to never give up and keep taking risks. IT IS WORTH IT !

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m in Love with Los Angeles city lights. Favorite thing to do is to go on Mulholland with some snacks and just gaze at the city at night.
There are so many awesome places in LA and so much to do: sunset in Santa Monica, tacos at Neptune’s net, hiking in the hills, shopping some vintage clothes in melrose, dinner in BH at Il Pastaio, the list is actually very long…
These are the first things we’ll do when my friends visit… then we’ll just improvise. LA has so much to offer.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother and grand mother are my number one. They always believed in me and encouraged me in my artistic path. I wouldn’t be where i am now without their support.
And of course my dear friends, the ones who have known me forever, the ones i’ve made throughout my artistic path, but also the beautiful connections and friendships i’ve made through social media.
I feel so much love and support from everyone and i am forever grateful.
I want to make them all proud.
