Meet Simi Gandhi | Spiritual Counselor & Telecom Professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Simi Gandhi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Simi, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The key lesson I’ve learned from my business is the importance of staying rooted in my daily routine. When you’re in the business of serving others, it’s crucial to remain centered and give from a place of genuineness and abundance. Through my business journey, I’ve come to realize the value of maintaining a regular meditation and mindfulness practice that grounds me and enables me to give wholeheartedly to others. Cultivating these skills has instilled self-discipline and sparked numerous positive transformations in my life.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With a master’s degree in sociology, I have spent the past 3 decades working in the telecommunications industry, achieving success in the corporate realm despite encountering various obstacles along the way. Throughout my professional journey, I have prioritized family, while engaging in activities that nourish my soul and fuel my creativity. I am a lifelong learner, and one of my greatest strengths is effective communication. I constantly try to communicate with respect, confidently expressing my thoughts and sharing them generously with others. I’ve been told that I possess a discerning ability to perceive situations with clarity and depth. I am known for articulating insightful ideas and love sharing them with others. Like everyone else, I have faced challenges, but my personal triumph lies in trusting my instincts, staying positive and persevering.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I were planning an exciting weeklong trip to show my best friend the best time ever, I would present a mix of a good time out on the town, along with quality time at home. Living in Southern California, beach days are a must. We could start by having a waterfront lunch in Santa Monica and explore Venice Beach, where you can find street performers, artists and eclectic shops. We would then catch the sunset at the Griffith Observatory and have a casual dinner out there. The next day could be more relaxed, go out for a local brunch to Mimosas in Anaheim. Later in the afternoon, I would book a meditation and breath work class at Yoga Sol in Yorba Linda. To keep the calm vibe, I would cook a nice Italian meal with great wine and have dinner out in my backyard. The third day would consist of nature and shopping. Begin the day with brunch at Republique, a popular French inspired restaurant in Los Angeles. Head to Descano Gardens to explore the stunning botanical gardens and enjoy a peaceful nature walk. Spend the day shopping and have dinner at the Catch LA, a trendy rooftop restaurant. The fourth day, I will plan on hitting some hike trails in Newport Beach. We would go to Crystal Cove State Park and hike with some stunning ocean views and a variety of terrain. We would spend the afternoon on the ocean and end the day with a sunset dinner at the Beachcomber. The next day I would take them to visit Hollywood. We would check out the Walk of Fame, Madame Tussads and TCL Chinese Theater and try and catch a movie there. We could take some studio tours of Warner Bros Studio or Universal Studios. The day would end on the Sunset strip, where we can experience some live music venues. On the last day, we would spend a quiet, quality day at home, watching movies, cooking meals, playing board games and making lasting memories.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Throughout my life, I have been fortunate enough to encounter different people who have played a vital role at various stages. During my formative years, it was my mother and sister who served as guides. I have also been fortunate to have friends who have provided guidance and encouragement over the years. In my adult years, during my quest to create my own spiritual path, I was led to my spiritual teacher and close confidante, Priya Jain, who has been instrumental in fostering my spiritual development. She has played a crucial role in nurturing my spirit and helping me rediscover my inner wisdom. Through her teachings, I have been led back to my true essence. I also want to acknowledge another wisdom teacher and friend, Dr. Shefali. Through her teachings, I have come to understand the mentorship that children can offer to their parents when we are able to transcend our ego. This perspective has allowed me to embark on a journey of learning and growth alongside my husband and children, becoming an invaluable tool in shaping the trajectory of my life.
