Meet Jeanette Affolter | Fitness Model & Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jeanette Affolter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jeanette, what principle do you value most?
One of the values that matters most to me is staying true and authentic to yourself regardless of fear or judgement from others. I used to feel like I had to be a certain way or there were things that I couldn’t do because of other people. I also see people close to me suffering from that issue so that’s why i want to help others feel like they can be themselves 100%.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m an extremely complex person and have many talents. I’ve always felt like I had to choose one thing in life to focus on. Throughout my life, I’ve learned that I don’t need to pick one thing and I can do everything that I want to do. I’m constantly evolving and learning new skills to continually strengthen my strengths. I’m not even close to the point I see myself at goal-wise but everything is going exactly as I see it and coming together perfectly. Right now, I’m a fitness model, social media influencer, entrepreneur, athlete, professional organizer, private chef, musician, artist, spiritual guru, etc. I had a cannabis podcast at a cannabis radio station, I’ve been a public speaker, I had a spiritual blog, and I had a pop-up athleisure clothing brand. In the works, I have a fitness app in the works, some exciting stuff coming up with my (authentic from Spain) Spanish cooking, working on my music (guitar), etc. I’m also studying for my California real estate license because I love architecture. And this winter I’m going to volunteer for the ski patrol. You can always expect something new and exciting from me because my interests are endless. We only get one life so now’s the time to do everything you want, you just have to do it!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So again I love architecture and buildings that have history, so anything that’s old I’m into. I would take my guests to all the old music venues, classic bars/restaurants that rock stars used to eat at, see the murals of Jim Morrison in Venice Beach. There was a really cool place called The Henry in Hollywood that was English and the inside was red and it had such a rockstar vibe. There’s the Baked Potato and The Whisky A gogo, Barney’s Beanery on Sunset, in DTLA I loved the Golden Gopher. Also, I love all the newer trendy modern restaurants you can find as well or the ones that are very nature-esque. I would also take my guests walking around DTLA and old town Pasadena because I used to check out random buildings exploring with my friends. I loved the Los Angeles Athletic Club because it was old and cool and the outside facade was neat to take photos of. I would also take my guests to the museums, the Getty Villa, the Observatory in Griffith Park, the Broad. We would do a smoke break in Pasadena where the Colorado Bridge (suicide bridge) is, in the Hollywood hills at one of the overlooks, or at the beach (Pacific Palisades or Redondo Beach). We would do hikes in the hills or in the Angeles National Forest by Monrovia if we want a long strenuous hike. Also, a drive through the streets of LA in the morning while everyone is working or in the middle of the night when people are sleeping is another one of my favorites, I love appreciating the magic of the area!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First of all, I am very lucky to have the most supportive people in my life. Above all, I would dedicate my shoutout to my mom. I am her #1 as long as I’ve been alive. She’s always supported me with anything I want to do and helped with anything I need help with. I love you mom!!!
