We had the good fortune of connecting with Britt Bankhead and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Britt, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was really interested in making films that I was passionate about while also enjoying the production side of things. I’m also interested in making true stories on veterans and their heroic actions.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always loved movies. It’s the one thing that has been persistent in my life since I was 4 years old. After the 7 years in the Army, I used my GI Bill to go to school for acting/writing/filmmaking. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to self finance my last two projects on my own and be the driving force that helped see them from start to finish. I just wrote, produced and starred in a film with Eric Roberts called “Insane Like Me? That I just sold to Deskpop Entertainment. I’m currently working on my third film and it’s the most exciting due to being able to tell a military drama that is based on a true story.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve been fortunate to have had many male role models in my life that helped guide me through the different periods and adjustments along the way. All of them had one thing in common that I learned and that is to have a strong mindset and always believe in yourself.
