We had the good fortune of connecting with Roger Perry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Roger, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I tend to be more of a thinker and leader. I am not very good at taking direction/orders. Plus, I love the independence and flexibility of time and schedules.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am a licensed Broker who represents buyers, sellers, landlords, and tenants in finding their next residence or property investment. Moreover, I invest in many different forms of real estate for passive income. I am a constant thinker. I see an opportunity and act upon it quickly. There are several opinions around me, however, I listen to my instinct and, usually, I am correct. I have achieved success by being methodical and patient. Not listening or minding the minutia. The best way to overcome challenges is to deflate the intensity of the task at hand and TRY to keep the emotion out of it. It is so easy to be emotionally tied to your work. And, I am a work in progress, so this is something I must remind myself of daily. And, I believe power comes from experience and knowledge. For example, knowing how to maneuver through a negotiation. Understanding terms, and implications. Plus, knowing how far to push the boundary to gratify all parties in a deal. This is my added value.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I like to thank myself for the patience, determination, understanding, perseverance, planning, smart decisions, mistakes, corrections, redirection, and the overall constant thought that was put into making me a successful business person. Additionally, I would like to thank my husband, Bradly Perry, for his consistent patience with me and my unorthodox hours, anxiety spouts, and mood swings that come with being an entrepreneur.
