We had the good fortune of connecting with Emiliano Forino Procacci and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emiliano, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is perseverance. I found many closed doors in my life, but I learned to keep knocking until one of them opened. For example I wrote 8 books until the last one “A World Without Emotion” was a success. Being persevering in every area of life is certainly important and it is equally important to be able to transform a simple intuition into an idea, which, growing day by day, become a concrete project and maybe even evolve into a real business. I’m the CEO and President of Unstatus Luxury, Inc. and I’m so proud of it. Behind the success of my brand there are my life experiences, my two master degrees, my family, and all the big and small things I have done in my life from the medal of merit received in Vatican to the choice to donate part of the profits to the research. Every life experience enriches us even if it is not exactly related to the business. Then certainly behind the success of my brand there is a new product that nobody sell. I have created a line of luxury books embellished with gold, diamonds and precious stones. Unstatus Luxury™ is the first company to produce books worth 1 million dollars on the market. Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Owning a luxury book mean different things. First of all, a book, regardless of its economic value, has been the preferred way to transmitting culture for hundreds of years. Furthermore, nothing can ever replace the poetry hidden in the pages of a book, the scent of paper, the pleasure of reading and leafing through every page. And if a book is embellished with gold, platinum, diamonds and precious stones, it is certainly better. Unstatus Luxury™ do this! A luxury book is an object that shines like a jewel, on which to rest your gaze from time to time while immobile makes a fine show of itself in your library. It is precisely between the original and perhaps sometimes unusual meeting of materials of different nature that the best products with a refined design are created. I consider this as a unique product that can be used to declare one’s love to someone or suitable for any other occasion as it could be that offered by a special moment that you want to keep forever in memory. I learned many lessons along the way. For example, I learned that to be a good manager you also need to have cross training. In my case I am also a psychologist, I studied a lot to pass the national qualifying exam. Psychology and business are very closely linked. I learned to recognize immediately if there is a good chance of collaborating with someone or if it is better to immediately look for what you need elsewhere so as not to waste time. Time ago I invented a new method for the job interview based on the reading of facial micro expressions and body language. It is very useful in everyday life and in the business.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I was born and raised in Rome, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, where the echo of history can be heard even in the smallest alley. Definitely if a friend come to visit me I would take him to the best Italian restaurant such as restaurant N.10 in Beverly Hills where you can enjoy excellent pasta and breathe the real Italian “air”. Then I would definitely go and visit the natural beauties that this beautiful country offer such as the Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks. Then I would stop in Las Vegas because it has an extraordinary charm, especially for those who live in Europe. Then certainly the Getty Museum and all the wonders of Los Angeles, a city that I love and in which I am happy to live.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to thank my wife and my two kids, without them I would never have achieved any results. They are my source of inspiration, it is precisely by thinking of them that I managed to overcome the difficult moments. They are my North Star.
