Meet Love Cordero | Lash Technician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Love Cordero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Love, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The key to my success has been the strong foundation I’ve built from my past experiences.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a lash technician specializing in applying synthetic lashes to natural ones. My adventure in the beauty industry began when I was young, managing to graduate from both high school and beauty school simultaneously. My first job was at 19, assisting an inspiring woman who loved her work. However, I realized that hair wasn’t my true passion.
After a setback, I turned things around and needed a new path to support myself. A friend introduced me to lash extensions, and I started working for a company. Initially, I dreamed of having a mobile lashing team, but it was too time-consuming, and I faced many challenges. At first, I wasn’t great at lashing and dealing with negativity and unsatisfied clients. But I stayed focused and improved my skills by continuing.
I moved to a more upscale salon after feeling I had learned all I could at my first job. I spent two years there, gaining valuable insights and realizing that owning a salon wasn’t for me either. When that salon shut down, I luckily took my clientele with me and rented a room to lash. During that time I was going through a lot of personal problems so I Used my passion for lashing to overcome and get deeper in my craft.
Then, the pandemic hit leaving me worried about making a living, and I reconsidered my career. I enrolled in community college but quickly realized it wasn’t for me. My heart was lashing.
I saw a gap in the market and decided to create a system for longer-lasting, more natural-looking lashes. I developed a technique called Russian Classic, which gives lashes three times the support using 3.5x zoom medical-grade loupes for precision. As of now, I am still working on my training, products, and taking clients. By the end of the year, I want to launch my training and products.
Lashing has been my source of patience, love, and peace during tough times. Along the way I have learned that word of mouth goes further than anything, leave people better than you found them, working towards mastery in your fields gives you purpose and always trust your intuition. My brand, Beauty with Intuition, is still in its early stages, but I’m excited about the journey ahead.
