We had the good fortune of connecting with Joey Donohoe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joey, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Our mission is to inspire positivity, cheer, and nostalgia through artistry and musicianship. To serve our customers through creative innovation and integrity. To offer our singers creative opportunities and a supportive base.

When I was 5 years old back in 1985, my parents would bring me to Lammer Square in Denver, Colorado once a year sit me down in front of the Christmas carolers and I would remain for a few hours while my parents shopped, enthralled with the costes and the music, and soaked in Christmas spirit. Years later in college, I auditioned for that same company and was cast. I told the Owner how much they mean t to me as a child and growing up, the she remembered me vividly and said they look forward to my yearly visit.

That same company was my parent company who taught me the ins and outs of the business back in 2008 when I moved to Los Angeles. I try to remind my carolers that you never know who’s day, week, month or even year you making with our music.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our talent is unmatched, with fully memorized performances that are engaging and entertaining. We originated modern pop acapella caroling, with our pop quintet in the style of The Pentatonix. We are the only authentically Dickensian carolers in the area bringing classic Christmas charm to your event. The Tinseltones are the best of both worlds. Our style and innovation are second to none,

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We have been caroling at Two Rodeo since 2009.

We also adore the LA Zoo, The Culver Steps, The Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles, and Keen LA

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Julie and David Payne in Littleton, Colorado. Owners of The Original Dickens Carolers and now The best Santa Mrs. Claus in the universe.
