At the end of the day, we can all likely agree that success is that feeling of accomplishment. For me, it’s always been just a little bit more; a little bit deeper. To me, value means challenge, and my principle is consistency. Before becoming a tattoo artist, I was a professional soccer player in Korea. Although I had to retire due to an injury, I learned a lot from my first life. Taking on challenges requires courage, but it also brings experience, new things to learn, and personal growth. To be true to my Artist. Everyone has their own struggle. Some struggle to follow their dreams because of their life circumstances. Other’s struggle to to know what their purpose is in life. Austin Kleon said, “ When people give advice, they’re really just talking to themselves in the past.” I wish I had known this earlier, because at the beginning of my career, I did what was right for my mentors and not for myself. Always remember this when you are getting advice from your elders; just because it’s right for them doesn’t mean it’s necessarily right for you. Read more>>

There’s this conception that artists should always be creating. “Just keep making more work” was what professors in art school would shove down our throats whenever we asked for advice. It is important to find your voice and style as an artist, but to keep spitting out work has its limits. For one, burnout is real. Your work will suffer if one mindlessly creates. Read more>>

People think the music industry is about making music, when in reality it’s about being an entrepreneur of multiple businesses at once. (On a successful level ) your ability to multi task and task delegate will heavily dictate your how far you go. while the music is an important factor it’s not the determining one. Read more>>
