Meet Kamilah Meek | Actress/Model/Producer & Realtor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamilah Meek and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kamilah, the decisions we make often shape our story in profound ways. What was one of the most difficult decisions you’ve had to make?
One of the most challenging decisions I ever made was moving to Atlanta in 2023, but the true shift began in December 2021. I was navigating the breakup of a toxic relationship that tried to break me, and my work situation wasn’t much better. The company I worked for laid off 30% of its staff, including me, as they prioritized their bottom line. It felt like my world was unraveling, but I soon realized that God was guiding me toward a major pivot. This decision was a faith move—I had to walk by faith and not by sight.
So, I took a leap of faith and moved to Atlanta, Georgia, bringing my car, my dog, and a renewed sense of purpose—with my mom by my side as we continued to grow our family real estate business together. By that time, I already held my real estate license in California, and I had recently added my Georgia license, opening doors in both markets. Now, I am bi-coastal, thriving in two vibrant industries across these markets.
Shortly after relocating, I booked the role of Faith in Wicked City, Season 2, marking a pivotal moment in my acting journey. Opportunities in both real estate and entertainment continue to flow in, showing me that what felt like an ending was actually the start of something greater. Every step has been a testament to resilience and faith, transforming challenges into opportunities and turning a leap of faith into a life of purpose and fulfillment.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Navigating the entertainment industry—and even real estate—has been an incredible journey filled with both challenges and blessings. As an African-American woman in spaces not always built for me, I’ve worked hard, staying engaged in both big and small projects to carve out my place. Getting to where I am today has been a path of growth and resilience, with God blessing and guiding each step. I’ve learned that making an effort, not an excuse, is key. When you’re willing to put in the work and stay authentically you, you unlock the best version of yourself.
I am relentless in my pursuit of excellence. Whether I’m on set, behind the scenes, or working with real estate clients, I bring my entire self to the table. My journey has given me a 360-degree view of the industry—I’ve worn many hats, from assistant to producer, actor to director—and this experience has shaped me into a multi-dimensional creator who thrives in diverse roles.
I want people to know that my brand is built on excellence and dedication. Just as I earned my Associate of Arts degree before graduating high school, I bring that same drive and high standard to every project I take on, whether it’s a film, a TV show, or helping a real estate client find their next investment. I’m here to bring something extraordinary to every endeavor and approach each one with the tenacity and creativity to make things happen. You could say I’m a bit of a hidden gem—someone who knows how to get things done and make visions a reality.
I am building a billion-dollar real estate conglomerate and carving out a transformative legacy in entertainment. I am here to build something lasting, create generational wealth, and leave a legacy that honors my lineage and speaks to the strength of those who came before me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So, my bestie’s coming to town, and I’m giving her the full Southern California experience in seven days. First stop, Sunday brunch with ocean views—mimosas, amazing food, and then a walk down the Promenade and pier for some classic LA vibes. We’ll grab a bite and head home to rest up.
Monday is all about relaxation at a spa—full body scrubs, massages, steam rooms—the works. Then, we’ll hit up my friend’s karaoke lounge in Hollywood for some fun.
Tuesday, we’re off to Vegas! While we’re there, we’ll check out some concerts and enjoy amazing food. I love grabbing dinner at Tao and hitting up a few other great spots, so we’ll make sure to experience all the best while still going with the flow. After two days, we’ll head back Thursday for a chill dinner. Friday is Disneyland day because, let’s be real, you can’t skip it.
Saturday, it’s all about sightseeing: cruising through Beverly Hills, brunching, and checking out some iconic movie spots. Sunday, we’re taking a quick trip down to San Diego for the day—grab lunch in Little Italy, enjoy the laid-back vibe, and then she can catch a red-eye flight back home. It’s the perfect end to a week of fun and relaxation.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I owe so much of my success to the remarkable women in my family who laid the foundation for the life I live today. My great-great-great-grandmother, Ella, instilled in me a deep spirituality and the importance of staying grounded. My great-great-grandmother, Lula, demonstrated the power of standing firm in one’s beliefs and advocating for oneself. My great-grandmother, Estella, emphasized the transformative value of education and the doors it can open. And my grandmother, Margaret, taught me the enduring strength of faith, guiding me through every challenge. Their wisdom and resilience continue to inspire and uplift me each day.
My aunt, with two master’s degrees, was my first counselor and a constant pillar of support throughout my life. I often say that I was her first “student.” Her love and support have been a guiding force, setting an incredible example of dedication and perseverance.
My mother has encouraged and inspired my path in both entertainment and real estate. At just three years old, she arranged my first professional headshots, launching my journey into acting. Years later, I had the privilege of watching her navigate real estate deals, and her passion and drive have deeply influenced me. She’s been my biggest support system and a grounding presence, uplifting me through every step of my journey.
I am deeply grateful to be part of a lineage of powerful women whose resilience has shaped who I am today. Just two generations ago, my great-grandmother was a sharecropper, and now I stand here as an entertainment and real estate mogul. Their strength and perseverance paved the way, and I carry their legacy forward with pride and purpose, honoring the foundation they laid with each step I take.
